Good morning our amazing Cabin supporters and customers!! Here’s the update for what lockdown means for The Cabin Wellness Clinic. We will conintue to provide Registered Massage Therapy, Chiropractic and Acupuncture services and Registered Social Work services in person. Social work will also be available by phone or online. Reiki, Reflexology and Readings in person will need to stop during the lockdown period.... Distance Reiki and Virtual Card Readings can still occur, if you would like to still access these services from our practitioners. Our Tuck and Gift Shop will be unavailable for in person shopping starting Dec 26 for 28 days. However we will be online selling for our vendors to help them and you still get what you’d like or need. We are able to do curb side pick ups from our location. Please like The Cabin Tuck and Gift Shop to see the many wonderful items available from local vendors and score your after Christmas deals too! We really appreciate your continued support! "I have always been amazed at how many aspects of being can be affected by massage. From mental and emotional realms to the way it can help your body move easier in the society where our lives are met with stress almost every step of the way, from work to our homes. I try to treat others very much the way I approach my own body with respect and wonder,... taking into consideration the current stage of your being on that particular day when you come to see me. I strongly believe that bodies are happiest and healthiest when they are able to move freely and often. At the end of my treatments I am always happy to suggest meaningful and specific therapeutic exercise that you will be able to easily follow at home, as well as giving any advice that might pertain to postural or positional changes during your day to day activities. I would describe my style of pressure as medium deep, however I enjoy giving soft relaxing treatments as well. Swedish massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Positional release as well as dynamic release, muscle energy techniques and joint mobilizations are my main practice tools. My education allowed me to gain confidence in treating high risk pregnancy patients at Sunnybrook hospital in Toronto. I especially enjoy doing prenatal massages, having a valuable opportunity to help women in such exciting and for some, challenging (physically and emotionally) time when the body changes so rapidly to accommodate for the growing baby. What does Reiki do? Reiki supports your body's natural ability to heal on all levels. It enhances healing of all kinds and may relieve pain and acute symptoms very quickly. It also supports spiritual growth. Reiki can affect each person differently but it always works for the recipient's highest good. Reiki works on the body as a whole, balancing the emotions, bringing clarity to the mind and reconnecting to the ‘true self’ which in turn impacts on physical well-being. When y...our life force energy is low, you may feel fatigued and become prone to developing illness or disease. This depletion of energy can also lead to stress and anxiety that may prevent you from living up to our full potential. Forms of energy healing, like Reiki, can help to reverse, or at least mitigate these symptoms of energy loss. During Reiki, energy is transmitted through the hands to help bring the person back into a state of balance. When you achieve this rebalancing of life force energy, you are more able to diminish or prevent illness and disease, find peace and contentment, and to enjoy life to the fullest.
