The 18th edition of the Festival Quartiers Danses (FQD), is running online until September 20th. 100% of the festival's programming will be broadcast on the FQD’s website for free for 10 days. We had three incredible days in Montreal for the CanDance and the Alliance of Canadian Dance Networks (ACDN) National Meetings during Parcours Danse! The days were filled with enriching conversations; presenter networking, professional development; a forum on Dance for Young Audiences and so much more! CanDance would like to send a big thank you to our guest speakers Seika Boye, Brittany Ryan and Lori Marchand for leading us in rich discussions. We would also like to thanks Adriana Contreras for capturing our meetings as a graphic recorder. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped bring this event to life!

The CanDance Creative Exchange Project is Underway! This is actively built across Canada, a project devised by artist Nate Yaffe, and supported by Studio 303 (Montreal) and FLUID Festival (Calgary), will commence in Calgary, October 15-20. The Fluid Festival will host a six-day research residency that carves out a space for queer dance artists from Calgary and Montreal to dialogue, collaborate and create, with a focus on queering collaborative creation structures through cross-pollination. The Montreal residency will take place in February, 2020.
