Are you worried about the community cats in your neighbourhood staying warm? Build a feral cat shelter to place in your yard. It's a cheap and easy way to help cats survive the winter outdoors. Pro tip: use a hairdryer to soften the plastic before you cut the entrance to the shelter.
Ever wonder where I disappear to one Saturday a month when I say I'm helping community cats? Come find out on Nov 28th! Register for the Toronto Feral Cat Project workshop on Trap Neuter Return held this month at the Toronto Humane Society. You will learn how to manage a feral colony, how to access free or low cost spay/neuter for colony cats, and get advice from experts on how to humanely reduce the number of cats on our streets through spaying and neutering initiatives.

I've always had a soft spot for cats with one eye. Looking for a cute one to adopt in the Toronto area?
Cats and yoga. They just go together :)
Today is feral Friday! Learn more about feral cats and trap-neuter-return programs in my most recent Modern Cat magazine blog post!
Looks like this is going to be a fun cat event if you're in the Toronto area!
Declawing should never be the answer to scratching problems. There are many humane ways to protect your furniture and your bond with your feline friend. Check out these tips on the Annex Cat Rescue blog or contact a cat behaviourist if you need more help.
I've always thought the perfect number of cats per household is 2 (or more... if I had the space!). What do you think?
