I feel like there is a little piece of me in most women that I meet. There is certainly a piece of my art on many of your faces.. but I mean this in a deeper sense. I’ve been through a lot as a woman, I’ve had to fight really hard and start over many times, it hasn’t been an easy journey. I’ve lost a sibling, I’ve experienced, emotional and sexual abuse as a child and rape as a teen, I’ve been in a physically, emotionally and sexually abusive relationship, I’ve had a sick pa...rent that I’ve cared for and lost, I’ve lost my business and had to rebuild from the ground up more than once. I’ve dealt with chronic pain and many surgeries. I’ve struggled with relationship problems and financial problems. I’ve fought a lifelong battle with depression and anxiety, I’ve been suicidal, I’ve had an eating disorder. Yet.. here I am.. I have a beautiful daughter, I’ve seen a lot of the world, I’ve had accomplishments in fitness and running. I have many wonderful friends, I own three successful businesses and have found an amazing business partner and we aren’t finished yet. I might add that all of this was done without any mans help. I’ve gone from victim.. to survivor ... towards embracing the full essence of who I am without labels.. I keep moving towards that..it’s a daily process and it isn’t easy. There has always been some stubborn seed inside of me. Maybe you know what I mean.. I’m not sure if it’s grit, hope, or resistance, or defiance, maybe it’s all of them but if you have that seed in you .. please keep going .. keep moving ... don’t sit still and don’t settle for pain.
