The Children's Path Child Care Centre 23.11.2020

With Christmas approaching, we wanted to do something special for a family who is clothed in strength, faith & love. Below is their inspiring story On August 31, 2016 the world was gifted with a newborn who would grow to be a miracle a testament that strength & courage could be bottled up in one tiny body. That a heart that would have to work double the time a regular heart has to, would be filled with bravery a refusal to give up. ... Arthur is that miracle. He was born with tetralogy of fallot. He has had 4 surgeries within less than a year at Sick Kids hospital. A month after he was discharged, he suffered cardiac arrest with an unknown cause. He went back to the hospital & spent another 8 months there. Today Arthur is 2 years old. He has a brain injury due to lack of oxygen during the cardiac arrest, he is seeing a physiotherapist, occupational therapist & vision specialist to help with his development. Arthur lost his vision, voice & most of his movements but we have faith that he will continue to improve. Jenny & her husband haven't been able to work since this journey started. Arthur requires a lot of care & he stays awake most of the night due to the brain injury. He takes 8 different medications & is on a special feed that comes from United States, unfortunately the government doesn't cover this feed called Nourish Formularie. Worrying about your child’s chance at life is stressful enough let alone worrying about finances & bills. No words are needed to read in Arthur’s eyes and firm grip that he refuses to let life get in the way. As we each sit here reading this story, with only a glimpse of the fear, pain & trauma Arthur & his parents have experienced in 2 short years to us, but a lifetime to them, we ask that you open your hearts. We are collecting gift cards of any sort or individual items- Arthur: wears size 4/5 clothing Dad: size XL, enjoys music Mom: size Medium, enjoys yoga & bike-riding Please message us if interested in donating by December 13 We hope to gift this strong family with a Christmas they will remember, thank you from the bottom of our hearts x

Two years ago we had a dream to create a Reggio centre and we couldn't be more proud of what our child care centre stands as today. To the incredible educators who are apart of our second home - we are in awe of your creativity, passion, love and dedication. We are two sisters who 6 years ago took a leap of faith opening our first child care centre. Remember with hard work and faith - anything is possible. Dreams do come true. With love everything grows xo

Mums N' Roses Join our team walk on Sunday October 1 here in Woodbridge as we walk for all of the women who have won, lost and are facing their battle to breast cancer. Our mother Rose (Mrs. Rose to our lovely little ones) being a cancer survivor inspires us daily with her courage, faith and strength. We can't wait to walk with you in support of all those female heroes who wear invisible capes. You can join our team walk by visiting... http://www.supportcbcf.com/site/TR/RunfortheCureFY18/RFTC18

Our Personal Super Girl Meagan's Walk 16 years ago little Meagan's death gave birth to a legacy of hope for all children living with brain tumors. In 2015 we were honored to walk with 2 year old Olivia, a beautiful student of ours who is on the mend to recovery with her own brain tumor. She is living proof that faith and love can go a long way. Today at the age of 4, Olivia stands healthy and a testament that courage and strength hides in tiny bodies with big smiles. ... If you would like to donate to this amazing little girl for her upcoming walk visit: https://www.sickkidsdonations.com//mobilePersonalPage.aspx Team Olivia We love you x

THE CHILDREN’S PATH CHRISTMAS FUNDRAISER 2016 We are so happy to announce that we have chosen the family we will be fundraising/donating to this Christmas. Kindness, generosity and compassion are a few of the traits we strongly believe in fostering at The Children’s Path every single day but especially around Christmas, when some families are not as fortunate as we are. The Christmas Family... This family of 3 teenagers and a mother recently experienced a tragedy most of us cannot even imagine. The father of the family passed after battling respiratory issues and colon cancer for almost 10 years. Mom is struggling to make ends meet working long shifts at a factory, as well as dealing with the loss of her husband whom passed only a month ago. She does not have funds for the little yet essential things that many of us take for granted, like having no choice but to cancel her cell phone plan. This single mother is now the sole provider for a 13 year old boy and two girls, ages 14 and 18. Our mission is to give this family a glimmer of hope, to show them that there is light even during dark moments. We will be collecting donations until Monday December 19th, as we hope to raise funds/collect donations to surprise mom and her kids with a Christmas they deserve. Please note sizes of clothing for the family members are also available upon request and we do ask for only unused items. We thank you in advance for your generosity and kind hearts. We hope we can come together to give this deserving family a Christmas they will be remember.

Yesterday we were privileged in celebrating what would have been the 12th Birthday of Isabella "Hope" Mannella This brave little girl was diagnosed with Pre B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (also known as ALL) at 9 years old and decided to fight through it all, holding onto her favourite word "hope". Despite the pain, she fought her battle for 3 years with a constant smile on her face. After hearing the many speeches and beautiful words from her family, doctors, nurses... and friends today, one line stuck out to us. When being told she would soon be entering a better world, her response was firm and brave, "I want to live". Her love for life is a lesson we could all learn from. Although she passed earlier of this year, she had hopes of celebrating her birthday in a meaningful way which was September 24. Today that came to life. She had a desire to find a cure for this terrible disease that so many children are diagnosed with, wanting to spare others of the pain she had endured. We were proud to see our father organize a wonderful event where all proceeds went to Sick Kid's Hospital, while celebrating the life of a beautiful and brave little girl. Sending birthday love up to the heavens xo See more

Meet The Children's Path Graduating Class Of 2016 Parents we thank you for entrusting us with the most important things in your lives- your children. To our amazing teachers who we call family, thank you for the hard work put into planning this event, each one of you blew us away with the helping hand you showed tonight. Mostly, thank you for bringing our philosophy to life each and every day, loving and helping mould each child as an individual. Life isn't just about learn...ing to read and write. Yes they are important, but equally as crucial as love and kindness. The love you have for the children shines through their results. To our amazing preschoolers, we send you off confidently to the bright future that lays ahead of you. Don't let the noise of others opinions ever drown out your own inner voice. Have courage, be kind and follow your heart. You're given one life, make it one that makes you happy and proud. Don't forget ... The rest is still unwritten x See more
