My staff and I are so pleased to announce that we will be OPEN to the public for in shop painting June 1st! It has been a long couple of months and we’ve been working hard on cleaning and rearranging our shop to accommodate all our favorite customers once again! We have had to make some changes to comply with the new Covid regulations but we think our shop looks better than ever with our second new paint station, freshly painted walls and even a new bathroom floor! Due to su...ch positive feedback we are still offering take home painting with our paint kits. We will have limited seating due to the 2 meter distancing of our tables but we are still drop in for all our customers. If we are to capacity we will have a call back waiting list so you will never lose your place for a seat! Our hours have changed slightly due to the extra cleaning measures, they are as follows.... Mon-Tues 12-5pm Wed-Fri 12-8pm Sat-Sun 12-5pm We are a unique business as we don’t exactly fall into any one specific category so we are adopting both retail and restaurant rules. So in keeping with those regulations we are not able to accommodate groups larger than 6 people for the near future while we are open to the public. We are however able to still hold private parties in which the entire front of our studio can be used to hold larger numbers and still be able to social distance. Please call us for more details on our private parties. We ask that if you or any member of your family are not well or under the weather to stay home and rest. Please help keep our staff and fellow customers safe and healthy! Lastly please bear with us during these new changes as we are all making these adjustments. Your patience is so very appreciated! We can’t wait to see you all again!

NEW UPDATE! Take home paint kits! Just in time for Mother’s Day We are very excited to let you all know that we will be opening for all you who would like to take advantage of our new option to pick your piece online from our photos, take it home to paint with our paints and paint brushes and return your pieces when they are ready for firing! We will be open from 12-3pm Monday thru Friday. You may also come in during those hours and pick a piece from our entire selection i...f you are not isolated. Here’s how it will work.... 1. Choose your piece from our pics attached. Any questions on prices, let us know! 2. Let us know what color(s) you’d like 3. Arrange your day to pick up and pay either over the phone or in store. 4. Take your paint kit home, and take as long as you’d like to finish your projects. 5. When you are completed, drop off your pieces anytime Mon-Fri 12-3pm. We will also offer curbside delivery or pick up to your car if you phone us when you are here. 604-855-1138 We will provide brand new paint containers and brushes for a $5 charge and they are yours to keep. If you do multiple projects, keep your kit for next time and there will be no extra fee. If you have your own acrylic paints at home and don’t require your project to be food safe you are welcome to a 25% discount on any piece we have in stock. We are hoping this will help ease the boredom I know we are all going through and help The Clay Cottage get through these unsettling times. UPDATE We will be closing this afternoon until further notice. We are under the 50 persons gathering limit and we have our tables separated to give us all more room, and we’re so glad to see you guys using the gloves, but it is important for non-essential businesses to be closing. TO ALL OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS During this time of uncertainty with the outbreak of the Corona virus, I and my staff have decided as a group we will stay open. We are under the 50 person limit for gatherings and we as a team feel that you all can make your own judgement call on whether you would like to visit. As we know our paints and paintbrushes are used by everyone, we will have gloves available for adults and kids to use if you desire. If you love to paint and feel you ...don’t wish to be in a group setting, we will take 25% off any pieces you would like to take home and paint with your own acrylic paints. All of this said, if you are sick or not feeling well please stay home. I realize we are a low key activity that can be done while under the weather (we know the good old regular flu is going around right now too) but we ask that you keep our other customers and staff healthy by staying away.
