Hello Clayspace friends!! Though our page may have been quiet lately the studio has been anything but! If you follow us on Instagram you may have caught sneak peeks and little hints in our stories of the *big news* we would like to now share - we have been commissioned to make custom dinnerware for the soon to be opening upscale restaurant Atelier Tony! We are super proud to have been asked to undertake this project for such a well-renowned local business - it is an absolute... dream project!! We can't tell you how much we are looking forward to seeing (and eating!) their gorgeous and delicious food on the dishes from our hands and studio! The only downside is we have needed every waking moment (and drop of coffee) available to us to have this immense order ready in time, and that meant cutting everything from our current schedule. The decision to cancel all our classes and workshops until the new year was hard, but nowhere near as difficult as having to cancel our annual production of Jack-o-lanterns. We know there were some disappointed kiddos; we quite possibly love this event as much as they do and October just wasn't the same without it. We have been and may continue to be slow getting through our inbox, but if you are a former student and would like to arrange for contactless pick up of your work drop us a line . We've been wondering with our new class structure how many pieces participants would finish. We recently had a fabulous group of four ladies let us test our new cylinder class on them and they exceeded our expectations of what could be accomplished. They clearly took their time to finish every piece well, and still got lots of work done. Handbuilding Cylinders Tuesday, September 8 - 22 6-9pm ... 160$ plus tax, all supplies included No experience necessary :D Cylinders offer so many different possibilities! In this class, we will demonstrate how to make a basic cylinder and we will show you several ways to alter your basic forms to create dynamic vases, planters, cups, pitchers, and utensil holders. You will also learn how to attach a handle to a mug. Participants will create their own pieces from start to finish; this includes 2 nights of making your pieces, and 1 night to decorate and glaze your work. All pieces will be food, microwave, dishwasher safe.

It is a busy night working in the studio, we might not hear phone dings right away to answer questions but we are here and the door is open until 8pm if you want to pop in and see what we have for cups!

Hi everyone! We will be in the studio tonight from 7-9pm for everyone interested in picking up cups. If you had certain cups in mind send us a message and we can set them aside for you. :) We still have lots of cups left to glaze, and a fresh batch coming out on Monday. Ah, the golden hour ;) Had to wait all day for this moment when the sun shines through studio window juuuust right! Here are all the glaze combos we currently dipping our 500 cups in, if you see one you'd like a set of let us know. We still have blank cups left and can glaze by request :D
