The Commuters : Sweets

hey candy fans! we're going on hiatus until 2018 to figure out how we can bring you sweetness year 'round... not just at the holidays! We'll be back before you know it have an excellent year!

the good news is - we were invited to be vendors at the meatopia festival in london, england with our bacon, duck fat and kumquat, and marrow and molasses caramels (that last one i'm particularly proud of). this festival has chefs from around the world and very limited vendor space so it is really an honour to be included the bad news is - it's not really financially viable for us to participate in the festival the really good news is - we'll be releasing the caramels for sale starting in october and anyone who wants to try these amazing treats will be able to buy them directly from us along with all our regular flavours :)

hello candy fans! we're back to sweeten your holidays with our double boiled hand cut goodness! hit us up in a private message if you're interested in a holiday order. we've made a few changes and we have some new sweets and here's what we've done: - we made the caramels smaller but we put more in a bag. %50 more! - we have single flavour bars so you can have as much or as little as you like. they are roughly the size of 8 caramels... - WE HAVE CINDER TOFFEE IN 3 DIFFERENT FLAVOURS! cinder toffee is like brittle but less dense and these are the flavours cinnamon and pepitas rosemary almond (our signature) cashew curry fennel (just trust us, it's brilliant)

hello toronto! you can get your commuters caramel fix at the chester subway station from 1:00-7:00 monday to friday. we also made a perfect little cinnamon and pepitas confection exclusively available at The Artists Newsstand. this is a really cool project full of really cool stuff and it'll have a full year of arts programming! how excellent is that????

spent all day in the candy lab yesterday... these are our favourites - pink apple cider caramel with pink peppercorn, and a duck fat caramel with candied kumquat. we also made a salted apple cider caramel that's pretty fabulous and we're zeroing in on a chicago mix caramel that'll blow your mind... stay tuned!
