On Saturday, June 13th around 7pm, The Compound was severely flooded. The massive amount of hail and rain overwhelmed and blocked our main drain in the parking lot. All it took was 10 minutes and the whole park was under at least 1ft of water. Luckily we were able to clear the drain and start to get the water out of the building right away. It took 3 days of cleaning, drying, moving and putting everything back together. We are stoked to say we are back up and running and spr...ing/summer camps are still a go! At only 19 years old, local Compound skater Elijah has been battling Stage Four Osteosarcoma Cancer. His good friend Preston reached out and we just wanted to highlight their fundraiser event this Sunday at Hudson's (Shawnessy). Burger+Drink tickets for $25. Each ticket purchased will cover the normal cost of a burger and drink, with the remaining cost being donated directly to our fundraiser. We donated a punch pass to their silent auction and wanted to share their event in the hopes of raising awareness and supporting a local skateboarder during a very scary time.
