I am feeling extremely proud of all my students this term for finishing their clinical rotations during this unprecedented time! In all my years supervising students, we have never faced such a challenge. We made it through the term despite a sewage back up, COVID19, learning how to run our shifts online, learning telemedicine and a new EMR system. We managed to be extremely productive and connected with our time together, learning from real clinical cases, mock cases, pra...cticing charting, doing mini master classes, and making time to talk about current challenges we are facing in the world, including COVID, social isolation, increased screen time, and systemic racism. My heart is absolutely full from today's workshop. I'm feeling really inspired by witnessing what these courageous doctors and future doctors shared. I'm proud to see doctors doing their personal work and taking responsibility for their internal process so they can work more deeply with their patients while supporting and holding each other up.
