Welcome to FEATURE FRI-YAY! Every Friday, we will be posting and showcasing the work of a selected artist, illustrator, designer, typographer, photographer - or really anyone doing anything that inspires us. This week's feature is... PAULA SCHER... This was a difficult post to produce, simply because of the fact that the heavily awarded US graphic designer and artist, Paula Scher, has produced decades of high quality work and art that it was hard to boil down to just a few slides. Therefore, I would hight recommend researching about her further. The reason we picked Paula was down to her stunning way that she bends what we consider the 'rules of design' to create a real art form in everything she produces. Thus, creating unique pieces and logos for the likes of MoMA, Citi Bank, Microsoft, the New York Philharmonic, Coca-Cola and the much widely celebrated branding of The Public Theatre. Again, Unit Editions (@uniteditions) produced another great design book, with this one titled 'Paula Scher: Works'. There are still some left of the 2,000 limited run. There is also a window into Paula's life on Netflix's documentary series, Abstract: The Art of Design. Really worth a watch!
