Not for evil reasons, she just loves the idea of making Christmas perfect under her own control. May play other roles. Our hearts go out to all those who loved Nick Cordero - who called him friend, brother, son, husband, and father. We were inspired by his talent and work ethic, his kindness, and his impact on our community and the world. We are so saddened by this loss and have such fond memories of Nick and his time at CTC. Were sure fellow alumni are reflecting on the sweet fleeting moments and memories as we are.... May he be held forever in the hearts of the multitude of those who feel the loss of his bright light. https://people.com//nick-cordero-wife-amanda-kloots-mourn/

We are sending virtual hugs to everyone and offering a little way to stay connected as we stay at home. As we practice social distancing, we can still practice connection and find ways to ENJOY our time together. Here are some theatre games (home school drama curriculum? Check!) you can play with family and even online! Let us know how it goes - post a video, or pictures, share the highlights - we are all in this together (from a distance). ... To our fabulous students and their families, We have decided that after 29 years we need to take a breather. This means that until further notice, The Creative Theatre Company is taking a break. We know for sure that we wont be offering classes for the fall 2019 session and we will let you know about any future projects. Our phone # is being retired (were not). We will still have our emails, Facebook, Instagram, etc. Please keep in touch and share all you are doing. We have... loved the past 29 years... and we are not 100% sure what the next 29 look like just yet, but we know that we need some time to figure that out. We are tremendously proud of all you have accomplished and quite frankly, all that we have accomplished as a small business too. We have taught thousands of students; some have gone on to critical acclaim in the arts and many have become educators. One of the things we are most pleased with though, is your story: The story of how you walked into acting class the first time, performed on stage, how you have created and performed your own art, all of your own personal growth and development, and the life skills you now have that can take you anywhere! To say that we adore our students is an understatement. Teaching so many amazing people has enriched our lives immensely and we are so fortunate and grateful. We are attending a wedding this summer for one of our very first students, some of you that we taught at Theatre Aquarius before 1990 have sent your children to us, and still other students have gone on to become our teachers. It is a weird and wonderful magical circle. Thank you for all we have shared thus far. Keep shining Creative Theatre Company Stars - we believe in you! With love and gratitude, Jen and Claudette

Happy International Womens Day to all our brave students. You inspire us every single day! "We have to teach girls to be brave in schools and early in their careers, when it has the most potential to impact their lives and the lives of others, and we have to show them that they will be loved and accepted not for being perfect but for being courageous"... https://www.ted.com//reshma_saujani_teach_girls_bravery_no

Sometimes just a lovely bit of programming happens like these new workshops offered by Avalon Harris SING IT GIRLS. Singing workshops for young women encourag...ing the use of the power of their voices for not only self-esteem but mental health and wellness. Sing it Girls! is a unique 8-week vocal program for girls. We know a lot of young women love to sing just for the fun of it so weve integrated some great calming strategies with an interactive program for girls. They learn to nurture their love of music while taking care of themselves. HAMILTON Sing it Girls! is an 8-week program, running from March 26th to May 14th. Each session is 1 hour. Please note we are offering two ages groups for our spring session: ages 7-10 and 11-14. Each week an experienced music therapist will lead the girls through vocal and breathing exercises, popular songs, and relaxation activities. Why girls love the Sing it Girls! Program: I really like when we get to talk about our feelings. age 9 I like the place where the sessions happen. We can say our feelings about school or let everyone know what we are stressing about and then we can find solutions with music and breathing. age 11 I like it when we are warming up for singing. age 9 I love the Sing it Girls original songs that we create. age 10
