Calling all pesto fans! After way too long of an absence our famous Cucumber Man pesto will be back soon! Our basil is growing nicely and should be ready to be transformed into the best pesto in town within the next two weeks. I'll keep you posted.

Have you tried our graffiti eggplant yet? These unusual vegetables (although really a fruit), loosely striped with violet and ivory, are also called Fairytale, Zebra or Sicilian eggplants and are thought to be a French or Italian heirloom variety. The flesh of these beauties has a mild earthy taste with a velvety melting quality. They have fewer seeds and a thinner skin than regular purple eggplants. Graffitis cook quickly and do well grilled, sautéed, or pan fried. But also very nice in stews or baked dishes. I like to cut mine lengthwise, brush with olive oil, garlic, rosemary and salt and pepper. Grill for a few minutes each side.
