We played our first gig as Dwayne Gretzky in 2010, which means this year marks our ten year anniversary as a band. Holy moly. What an amazing journey it’s been ...- we’re truly humbled by all the wonderful opportunities we’ve had over the years. So many shows. So many songs. So many great people. A Decade of Dwayne. Given the current state of affairs, reflection is a bittersweet exercise. Like so many others, we don’t know when we’ll be able to do what we do again. But we remain hopeful it will happen eventually. In the meantime, we’re gonna take some time to reflect on the past decade. Over the next few months we’re gonna share some of our favourite Dwayne moments with you all, and hope that you'll join us in digging back into your own archives to re-live (and share with us!) your top memories from Dwayne Gretzky shows over the years using the hashtag #ADecadeOfDwayne. Harvest Moon was the very first song we played at our inaugural Dakota Tavern residency in 2011 (special shout out to Shawn Creamer, Maggie Ruhl and the rest of the OG Dakota family). That’s where everything came together for us. We became Dwayne Gretzky on that stage. So it seems fitting to pay tribute to that particular song now.
