Biannual dental check ups are a very important part of maintaining good oral health! There are two factors that make up a routine dental appointment: professional cleaning and the examination. During the cleaning portion of the appointment, one of our hygienists will polish your teeth and remove any tartar. This is important because you aren’t able to remove tartar at home. During your exam, one of our dental professionals will check for cavities, plaque and tooth ...decay. They might also take X-rays to check for cavities between your teeth. This part of your appointment is extremely important for early detection and prevention purposes! If it’s been over six months since your last routine appointment, it’s time to give us a call (403) 917-1667. We can’t wait to see you soon! #TheDentalRoom #patientcare #oralcare #calgarycommunity #calgaryhealth #calarydentist #oralhealth #smilegoals #oralhygiene See more

It's time to brush up on your brushing techniques! A consistent oral hygiene routine is important because it will help to remove dental plaque from your teeth! If daily brushing is neglected, the plaque can build up and lead to gum disease and/or tooth decay. To keep your smile happy and healthy, we recommended the follow oral hygiene routine: ... Use a pea sized amount of fluoride toothpaste. Position your toothbrush at a 45 degree angle towards the gum line. Use a circular motion while brushing your teeth. Use a back-and-forth motion when brushing chewing surfaces. Spit out toothpaste and rinse your mouth with water. Follow this routine with flossing and mouthwash. One of the most important factors of a good oral hygiene routine is completing biannual dental appointments!
