Friends and clients, Today Nadine and I took the difficult decision to close The Daily Male to personal grooming services until the local effects of this pandemic begin to subside. Despite the many precautions weve taken to keep the virus from entering our workspace, the risk of transmitting Covid 19 to others and the potential transmission from others to us and our home far outweighs the ever diminishing economics of remaining open. ... With that said, Nadine and I wish to help and support the people of our business community and High River at large. We can offer our workspace, our time and whatever resources we can spare to help during this difficult and trying event. Friends and clients: Below is the current guidance from the Alberta Government regarding hair salons, tattoo parlours and massage services: Personal services... There are no restrictions at this time on personal services like hairdressers, tattoo parlours or massage services. These businesses should take the same preventative measures that are being suggested to all Albertans, including thorough cleaning procedures and providing opportunities for staff and clients to wash their hands upon entry. Additionally, it is recommended that service providers ask customers if they are feeling sick and recommending those who are to follow guidelines for those experiencing symptoms. The Daily Male has loads of hand sanitizer at the door and at all barber stations. All instruments are sanitized with barbicide, clippercide or alcohol after each use and all surfaces (including waiting chairs and barber chairs), are cleaned between clients. With that said, haircuts are a go and the beer is cold! We will avoid hot shaves and beard love until the current situation changes course. To our valued friends and clients, Today we have made some operational changes due to Covid19. These decisions have been carefully considered. We will remain open during our regular business hours for as long as possible.... To help minimize the potential spread of Covid19 we have suspended all close contact grooming services. Hot Shaves and Beard Love have been discontinued until further notice. For the time being, we are offering personal grooming products and advice. We are also offering gentlemen FREE one on one Hairapy consultations that cover hair, beard and skin care. We are closely following social distancing practices and provincial guidance. As such we will keep the bar open until we are subject to a close order from AGLC, the province or the federal government. Please keep in mind that we provide care to an elderly family member who resides in our home. Kindly respect all protocols relating to the current pandemic and refrain from entering the shop if your health has been compromised or you are associated with anyone experiencing any symptoms or illness whether related to coronavirus or not.
