We are writing to you all to let you know that as of March 31st we will be closing the page for The Duchess Tea Room and will be creating a new business page for The EARLS of GRAY. We hope that you will find us and keep the conversations going... we will be planning events in the coming months and don't want any of you to miss the opportunity to take part in community events. We want to see you soon and we are happy to take your reservations during this time.... We are always focused on health and safety and use a three stage process to disinfect dishes and surfaces throughout the shoppe, daily. As large gatherings are being hindered by the Corona Virus and many people are remaining isolated, we are restricting our hours as people hesitate to venture out into public spaces. We will now be closed on Wednesdays until further notice. We are accepting reservations for the remaining days and will reopen with full hours once CV has subsided. ABOUT THE GOODS: Greetings to all the supportive, hungry and patient followers of TDTR. James and Andrew are anxious to get things going again and can only hope to carry on where our wonderful friends have left off; providing a fun atmosphere where people can meet, eat, greet and have a sweet. Ashley and Julie have been so amazing taking us through their journey and we intend to keep things as fresh and cozy as they did before us. We are getting closer to opening our doors.... We are proposing that our hours will be Wednesday-Sunday 11-5. This will give everyone a chance to have lunch, a late lunch or even a later lunch... or as the posh call it... "Tea". So our last sitting will start at 4pm. If we appear to be "overstocked" with clients, we will expand our days to accommodate demand and need. ABOUT THE LOOK: What's exciting is that we are also adding a retail element to the space and have allocated the front part of the premises to art, furnishings, decor, crafts and other enticing items. We are teaming up with artists and craftspeople to form a "consortium" to inspire you. We are also working with The Bowers Nest right next door so that we can coordinate open times and possible future events so that 288 Grays Rd becomes a well rounded experience. MORE-ISH ABOUT THE MENU: We will be making a few changes to the menu but promise that everything will be made in-house, will be fresh and affordable for everyone to enjoy and return over and over again, just like Ashley and Julie intended over a year and a half ago. In the future we will have "return engagement" cards that will work like popular rewards programs for those of you that can't get enough of a good thing. Stay tuned for more...
