With the emergency stay at home orders, our provincial government has recognized that mental health counselling is essential for those in need. Throughout this pandemic, we know, so many of us are in need of a little support, some encouragement and even some more in depth counselling. Wow...This is so great!!! This lovely family reached out to us last week, came in for a tour and were in the Centre today for their first Physical Focus Session. How many more amazing things can we say about the incredible team at Barley Vine Rail Co. We have been so blessed to have them as awesome business neighbours, Edify partners and friends. We were so lucky to partner with the team at BVR to encourage their patrons to start conversations about mental health with the "Conversation Starters" promotion. We have heard such great feedback from staff and customers about how nice it was to feel encouraged to talk openly about mental ...health. 1$ from each appetizer sold that week was allocated to The Edify Centre to support those in need of services. And wow!!!...was Orangeville hungry during Mental Health week!! We can't thank the team at BVR enough for donating $500 from those apps. We are honoured and thrilled to continue our partnership with them in any way we can. Since the "Conversation Starters" were available, we have been talking about 'continuing the conversation' about Mental Health. It is a powerful thing to shed light and awareness on mental health but it is entirely another to keep that conversation going in an open and honest way. Watch for our "Continuing the conversation" approach.
