Here is your tip 1 for #Kapha balancing tips during this winter season... Even though wintertime necessitates some substance and nutrition, it's good to eat light and dry foods this time of year. Use your diet to stoke the digestive fire to maintain heat and opt for tastes that are pungent, bitter or astringent. Some great ideas include... ~ Apples, cherries, cranberries... ~ Lots of vegetables and well-cooked legumes ~ Light grains like barley, corn and dry oats Mmmm... now we're getting hungry!

Yogis know that we are in essence divine beings. But how to we help our students to discover this about themselves? Today, try this exercise for the subtle body, from. the Reiki practice. Bring your hands into Namaste, and begin Ujjai breathing. Focus your thoughts on the point at which your middle fingers meet. Imagine this intensifying energy is a light that you can shine anywhere on your body, and slowly bring your hands anywhere that you are experiencing pain, discomfort..., or are requesting healing. Keep your hands there for 10 breaths. Continue with as many spots as you like. When you're done, bring your hands back to your heart and say thank you. . . . #Reikiforyogis #reikimeditation #reikihealing #prana #yoga #theflyingyogi See more
