It has been decided to postpone a memorial service for Scotty given the current COVID concerns. We are limited to 50 seats, which is not nearly enough. Scotty would not want anyone excluded, or put in harm's way. So we will wait until the summer months. Dignity Memorial has created a webpage so that we can all post comments, memories, and heartfelt wishes. You can add images as well. ... After some time has passed, Dignity Memorial will be creating a book with the content from the memorial page for Scotty's parents. As a side note, we will be scanning all of the handwritten notes and copying/pasting most of the FB messages to be included in this Memorial Book for his parents. To our valued community, As we continue to do our best to provide a safe environment for all who visit us, we have been informed by a patron that they have tested positive for COVID. This individual informed us that they were at our establishment this past Friday, November 13th between 6:30 - 9:00pm. We have reviewed our surveillance and it appears that they did not interact with any patrons around them, and that physical distancing was maintained throughout their visit. It... is our understanding that this is a low risk exposure. We’ve informed the staff who were on shift that evening and they are taking precautionary measures. Today, The Fountainhead Pub family and West End community mourn the loss of our friend and advocate Anthony "Scotty" Larin. Scotty joined the Fountainhead in June 2001. His charisma and easy laugh made everyone that walked through the door feel welcomed. He was an advocate for the underdog. ... A superhero to the Westend. An unconditional friend to all. Our hearts are broken. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family. We will remain closed and reopen on Monday the 19th of October.
