Foundation for Student Science and Technology 22.11.2020

McMaster URECES is recruiting for the 2020-2021 year! URECS gives students the opportunity to conduct their own research projects under the guidance of other undergraduate students. Whether you're interested in neuroscience, or environmental science, and even economic growth - each and every idea has a place to be explored. The research involves a computer software called COBWEB, developed by Dr.Bass, an adjunct professor in the Centre for Environment at the University ...of Toronto. Students in the past have developed research projects that have gone on to be published in journals, presented at science fairs and even conferences. Interested? Apply here: https://forms.gle/eFgtpxsy1zsjKB4GA. Deadline: Sunday, November 1st, 11:59. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Anabela Cotovio ([email protected]) and/or Fatima Sheikh ([email protected]).

Hi everyone URECS is back and better than ever! I’m Anabela Cotovio, one of the founders and presidents of the McMaster URECS Chapter. From completing my own research project as a high school student, to sharing my passion for research with other students, URECS has given me the opportunity to go above and beyond in exploring my interests in the health science field.... Our McMaster chapter focuses on three main pillars: (1) PROJECTS: we are here to help translate your ideas and interests into a research project(s). (2) EVENTS: we plan on organizing virtual events/conferences to help you learn about other research and showcase your own projects (3) OUTREACH: after completing your potential project, we hope to provide opportunities to share your work with & mentor high school students If you are interested in taking on your own research project under the guidance of mentors, consider applying to be a researcher! Application: https://forms.gle/eFgtpxsy1zsjKB4GA. Deadline: Sunday, November 1st, 11:59.
