Thank you for all the support!! My heart melted tonight at my last delivery when I pulled up and my dear friends and loyal patrons of The Gates greeted me at their door. I handed over their food and I saw that they had set a beautiful candlelit table for two in their dining room. They allowed me the honour of providing the food but they took the time and made the effort to make their dinner so special for each other. My hats off to you two - you know who you are - and my sincerest thanks. Not only for supporting our business, but for making my night. You are truly wonderful and amazing people!

This is an empty room. One of two that we had set up, cleaned, and sanitized this past weekend. It was also one of two bookings that just didn’t show up. 25% of our reservations - no show. Not cancelled - just didn’t come to their booking. APOLOGIES to all those we had to turn away. Though we do our best to call people back and try to fill empty spaces, often it is too late as we understand that you need to make plans. And we don’t know when a group is running behind or just not showing up until it is much later in the meal period. Sorry to those who wanted to come!! A huge THANK YOU to those who honoured their reservations and supported us over the weekend. We do appreciate it!!

Our wedding season starts and, despite everything that 2020 has thrown at them, love finds it’s way. Brides are still breathtaking and grooms are still dashing. Parents are still glowing with pride and guests are still celebrating. Relationships that are forged by this very special year will most certainly endure. It brings us joy and hope when we see that, yes, they STILL DO!! @ The Gates On Roblin

A huge thank you to our very valuable guests for their unbelievable support as we slowly open up our services! Of course, I can’t help but be just a little bit jealous that it’s not ME sitting there having that sangria!

APOLOGIES! Please accept my apologies for all the people we have had to turn away this weekend. Yes, we do have lots of space. However, we are operating under some very restrictive COVID guidelines and must be responsible to keep both our guests and our staff safe. We are sorry for any delays that you may experience while booking or while getting service. We do not have all of our staff back and are running on a skeleton crew. Some have real legitimate health concerns with... the risk of contagion. This start up is not an easy HR situation and we apologize. Those who did come, we appreciated the fact that you socially distanced, followed arrows, and used our hand sanitizing facilities. We appreciate your understanding with all of these inconveniences and apologize to those that felt they were unnecessary. Information is coming to us in fits and spurts. We operate or not operate upon the direction of our different governing bodies. Instruction is not as clear as if this were a known situation with an operations handbook. We interpret and pass on the information that we get in a complicated but serious game of telephone. The stakes being health, safety, public perception, and even fines. We sincerely apologize that the rules change weekly, monthly, and sometimes daily. This is not the government’s fault - or anyone’s. We are all doing what we can with common goals - to keep people safe and to get our economy started. We apologize if our information is sometimes old, sometimes vague, and sometimes inaccurate. Please bear with us - this is all new for everyone. We apologize for your events. We are working on getting them back on track. We cannot predict the future but we are in contact as things change and will work with you to explore different options and ideas. We will do what we can to let you have the event that you want. A HUGE THANK YOU to all of the wonderful and understanding people who have come out to visit us. We LOVE seeing you and hope that we can continue to be of service - in whatever capacity that we can. Getting the property ready for summer and just want to send out a hearty THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported our first day open serving INSIDE!! Yesterday, we saw new and familiar faces celebrating everything from first date night out after COVID to and 80th birthday! Thank you, take care, and stay safe!
