Never say Never! I didn't think I'd make any more of these, but.... Valentine's window ornament, inspired by our crow-loving dog, but with twist of Blackbird! Only half a dozen or so available. Find them in the Valentine's Day Collection on my website.
New little red glass cardinal Driftwood Mobile. Bird size around 2".
A new batch of (freshly bathed and wet) dogs in Bandanas!
The temperature might be cooling off but were still Open! In the shop I have a full selection of glass: Birds both Hanging and Perched, one of a kind Art panels large and small, fused glass and driftwood suncatchers, a few Limited Edition dishes, coasters, Christmas Tree ornaments; and some of Jerry Walsh Artisans marine life! Let me know if you want to drop by sometime! Open by Chance (look for the OPEN flag anytime between 10-5pm) or Appointment (daylight hours)! Thanks :-)
The little ones are all lined up for School. First classes are being held at Jennifer's of Nova Scotia :-)
Bird-Grams can travel where you cant!! This could be a new way of letting them know youre thinking of them. In a unique take on the messenger pigeons and telegrams, a glass bird could deliver your message direct to friends or relatives :-) Once on the website (www.theglassbakery.ca): simply choose the bird and a card, add your personalized message in the Notes section, and enter BIRD-GRAM in the shopping cart. The card will be FREE and Ill handwrite your message and send it and the bird direct to the recipient in the delivery address.

While travel for us humans may be restricted, the birds are free to fly South! Migration is underway and so is a little promotion on Plovers and Sandpipers. If you'd like to take advantage of a 15% discount on Single Plovers and Pipers, please visit my website and take a look! The promotion runs until the end of this month and uses the Code MIGRATION. Thanks!
The birds have company! You might be forgiven in thinking youve stumbled upon Jerry Walsh Artisans page ;-), but joining my glass-feathered friends in the studio-shop are a group of Jerrys wooden fish, sharks and whales on driftwood. The shop is open for social distance/masked shopping by Chance or Appointment! Please note, Jerrys pieces are not available from me online - just in the shop. Thanks!

Something tells me the Groundhog likes Zucchini after all!
Enjoying a sunny, relaxing start to Sunday morning with the bees, birds, butterflies and frogs!
Sharing something a little different today - a seagull picture panel. The piece was made building up successive layers of crushed glass, making something that looks more like a painting. I hung the glass on Atlantic Driftwood and he could easily go either in a window or on the wall. I've just added him to the website :-) www.theglassbakery.ca Thanks!
Theres something relaxing about sitting on the lawn watching the bunnies eat Dandelion leaves. Theyve been great entertainment this year!
A beautiful summers evening complete with a quick visit from our iridescent friend for "drinks by the pool (pond)" makes for a good start to the weekend! Hope youre enjoying the evening too!
I was pleased to make a family of Robins recently for a retirement gift. I knew they were going to Ontario but wasn't sure who would be their new owner! Thanks to Pat for recognizing the birds in this picture and tagging me in the post; and to Erika for choosing the Robins for Julia's retirement! She seems happy :-)

A little get-together for the Bluebirds before they head off to New Brunswick this week. Theyll be staying at The Butchers Daughter Gift Shoppe in Saint John.
Two Kingfisher friends catching up by the pond before heading different directions. The one the left flew to their new Nova Scotian abode in time for the weekend, while their friend on the right decided to stay at the studio a little longer. Wonder where she'll visit next?
Another hot one today! I think this little guy has the right idea

Our new little friend seems to be enjoying the wildflowers as much as we do!! This is the latest baby bird - the pocket sized hanging Goldfinch. He's a singleton baby at the moment, but hopes to have siblings early next month :-) I'll post his details on the website very soon!
These shorebirds are swapping the country for the city, and visiting Jennifers of Nova Scotia on Spring Garden Road, Halifax! Theyre taking with them their chicks and a group of woodland friends.

A few feathered friends cooling off by the pond!
While the wildflower seeds I planted are reluctant to grow (or Ive pulled them up thinking they were weeds), these beautiful ones bloom naturally every year in the edge of the woods. I suspect for these, I owe thanks to the previous owner of our property!
