Bird-Grams can travel where you cant!! This could be a new way of letting them know youre thinking of them. In a unique take on the messenger pigeons and telegrams, a glass bird could deliver your message direct to friends or relatives :-) Once on the website (www.theglassbakery.ca): simply choose the bird and a card, add your personalized message in the Notes section, and enter BIRD-GRAM in the shopping cart. The card will be FREE and Ill handwrite your message and send it and the bird direct to the recipient in the delivery address.

While travel for us humans may be restricted, the birds are free to fly South! Migration is underway and so is a little promotion on Plovers and Sandpipers. If you'd like to take advantage of a 15% discount on Single Plovers and Pipers, please visit my website and take a look! The promotion runs until the end of this month and uses the Code MIGRATION. Thanks!

The birds have company! You might be forgiven in thinking youve stumbled upon Jerry Walsh Artisans page ;-), but joining my glass-feathered friends in the studio-shop are a group of Jerrys wooden fish, sharks and whales on driftwood. The shop is open for social distance/masked shopping by Chance or Appointment! Please note, Jerrys pieces are not available from me online - just in the shop. Thanks!

Sharing something a little different today - a seagull picture panel. The piece was made building up successive layers of crushed glass, making something that looks more like a painting. I hung the glass on Atlantic Driftwood and he could easily go either in a window or on the wall. I've just added him to the website :-) www.theglassbakery.ca Thanks!

I was pleased to make a family of Robins recently for a retirement gift. I knew they were going to Ontario but wasn't sure who would be their new owner! Thanks to Pat for recognizing the birds in this picture and tagging me in the post; and to Erika for choosing the Robins for Julia's retirement! She seems happy :-)

While the wildflower seeds I planted are reluctant to grow (or Ive pulled them up thinking they were weeds), these beautiful ones bloom naturally every year in the edge of the woods. I suspect for these, I owe thanks to the previous owner of our property!
