Hello everyone! Our first meeting of the academic year is tomorrow, Monday October 5th, at 12:00 PM PST. The meeting will be hosted virtually through Zoom and is open for all current undergraduate students in Geology and Geophysics here at UBC. An email will be sent out tomorrow morning before the meeting time with information on how to access the Zoom meeting. We look forward to seeing new and returning Geology and Geophysics students tomorrow and we are excited to discuss plans for the year and answer any and all questions you might have about the club, industry, academia, events, and more!

Exciting opportunity for UBC geoscience students! The Canadian Society of Exploration Geophysicists Foundation (CSEGF) Challenge Bowl is a national event for 2-person teams of Geoscience students from universities across Canada to compete in a Jeopardy-style geoscience quiz competition. The winners earn both bragging rights and the opportunity to represent Canada at the SEG International Challenge Bowl Finals! The first-ever Virtual Challenge Bowl will take place Wednesday, September 23rd at 11:30am-1:30pm MT. All interested students can email [email protected] for registration or more information.
