Hello Movement Family! Well we had a good 3 days of being open As you all know, on Thursday, Dr. Henry said on live T.V. that dance studios could resume business operations while waiting for new safety protocols to be developed by Fraser Health. And so we re-opened once the formal post was made on the BC Government website. ... Last night, with no public announcement, a new order posted on the government website mandating dance studios and other fitness activities to suspend activity immediately until new guidelines have been received by Fraser Heatlh. I have spent the last 12 hours sorting through two dance studio forums, news posts, Public Health Orders, and phone calls to health officials. Myself and other studio directors across the province, are struggling to find clear information as the Government website is telling us one thing and our Public Heath Office is telling us another. With this new order being announced we unfortunately must comply with this new order, starting today (Tuesday November 24th), until we are once again given the green light to open. The BC government website states that they expect the new guidelines to be released by November 30th so we are hoping this closure won’t be longer than that, but we will keep you posted as we get more info. You will absolutely be credited for any classes missed due to this new mandated closure. If you are registered in a LUVEN class, we will facilitate those classes via Zoom. We can still offer private lessons so if you are interested in booking something with myself or another staff member, please don’t hesitate to email us and let us know! I understand everyone's frustration and I am right there with you. The lack of communication between the Government, PHO, Dr. Henry and studio directors is extremely disappointing and I am heartbroken to be delivering this news to everyone today, especially as we were given no notice. We will be delivering more info to you all as soon as we get it.
