My view today!!! D trail West. Dub 5 trail.
We got snow overnight. More on its way, with the ice base and with what we had on top I will head out packing Tomorrow with just the Unit no drag to fill in holes and ditches.
Reading comments in the last few weeks about snowmobiling, trails will open up and it’s making me nervous, some people don’t seem to get it, wake the fuck up, Covid is real you have to take it seriously. Some people don’t give a shit, they just think of themselves. This is one of the big problems with our sport. I’m not even sure if I want to open up trails now...... (going out and Breaking trails on our local trail system) some people are so ignorant, it’s taking everything I got to not loose my shit on some people........ end of rant.... for now. Note: I am not advocating for trails to not open, I want to ride as much as you do and I think snowmobiling will do good to all of us to clear our minds from all this covid stuff. stay safe.
Anyone looking for a fun toy? :)
Had to repost, I don`t know what happened to the original I did.
While we wait for more snow, check out some of my videos on youtube, this video shows why the D108A took so long to open up last season. https://youtu.be/qVePtojG2X8
My last lvideo posted on youtube of winter 2020. because of Covid..... it was a nice night, the song was perfect for the mood. https://youtu.be/SGs56X-7e0A
Had to share this post with you all, well said Brendan.
2 stroke Snowblower. Sounds cool I but would hate living beside him. lol https://youtu.be/TaL4m0quPIA
Did some riding with my son, the snow is staying where there is shade, ground is frozen about 6 inches.
You know you live in a small Northern Ontario town when the Jk/Sk class has make your own snowmobile arts and crafts. My 4 year old Son painted my snowmobile and made sure it was like mine and had Yamaha on it. @yamahasnowmobiles @yamahamotorcanada
Brrrrr it's a cold one today!!!!! -17C (1 F) this morning but I was told by Drillers that it went down to -20C (-4 F) last night and they had a water line freeze up. lakes are freezing over. Looks like it's going to be a long winter ahead. For those that don't know I live in Dubreuilville Ontario.
Christmas came early for the Dubreuilville Alouette Snowmobile club. Can’t wait to try this new baby out this winter. :) Thank you OFSC and District 13 for the new drag, our old one was an 8 footer so we needed a wider one.
Check out my friend Jeff’s 2020-21 winter forecast!!!!
Out for a ride with my son on our Yamaha Viking yesterday, some spots where there is more shade the snow has stayed. We are way behind this season, last year I was pushing snow with the front bumper of my truck at this time north of town. #yamaha #yamahamotorscanada. #snow @yamahamotorcanada

Wow, that was close. Moose are fast and come out from anywhere.
If you tow a trailer, these products from BLUE OX are worth a look... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcAHrz1-cI4

Interesting setup, he says that he’s has it set with a cable to control the saw throttle.
That's a BIG load. Over 250,000kg on the scale. very impressive.
Wow, one good thing about this is that you have moose meat and you don’t have to load it in the truck. Be safe on the roads.
My little guy going for a rip!!! crash!!!!!

"Hey Boss Man.... I tried saving you money doing only one trip.... I don't know why they stopped me"?
Oh shit!!!!! What a save, could of been way worst. Has this ever happened to you with a snowmobile? https://www.instagram.com/p/CEe2vsDpVrs/

The Dubreuilville thunder dome.
Good job guys!!!!!!
The snow is gone but the fun don’t stop in theses parts of Ontario. ADV riders on the trails. (Crown Land) Some sections of D trail, Halfway Haven to Hawk Junction then to Dubreuilville.
This would make for a nice snowmobile bridge..... if it snowed there. Lol. Who would do this?
Forest fire near my town next to the D trail East. Fire is already reported at over 4 hectares. The fire is about 5kms from our town. Water Bombers and ground crews are attacking it hard. We are lucky the wind in not in the direction of the town.
New procedure for skidoo owners to make their belts last longer then 700kms. lol
It’s time to pluck!!!! lol spring time, love is in the air!!!!
Took a ride with my Son today.... well a few lol. We road the D trail West to pick up some orange markers and fallen signs. Still some snow in some places. This was where there is shade, the open areas are bare.
Well the day has come and I finally got my first Brand new side by side. A 2020 Yamaha Viking ESP. Thanks Ryan Olar at River City Yamaha Powersports in Sault Ste Marie for the awesome service, Ryan was very nice to open up for us on a Saturday long weekend to accommodate us, going the extra mile for his customers. It was a great time to buy with low financing rates, they have interest rebates if you are a loyal Yamaha owner and if you take an extended warranty and manufa...cturer rebates. (Not sponsored by Yamaha or an Ambassador for Yamaha, would be cool tho . Yamaha Motor Canada Ltd. lol) Just a loyal Yamaha owner I have been shopping for the last 2 years, looking at Yamaha, Can Am & Honda. Was at looking at pricing quality, bang for your buck. What sold me was the Yamaha reputation, a 20 year engine Warranty, in the USA they have the 10 year belt Warranty (not in Canada tho) but it still tells you that they Have a very good clutch system and belt. I can’t wait to put on the seat time in it and give a review for you guys. Went out for a little with my little guy, he was so excited, but he fell asleep with the smooth ride. #rivercitypowersports. Rivercity Yamaha Powersports
Happy for this, my little guy will be happy this weekend. Poor little buddy has been asking for a campfire in the back yard but we could not but he’s only 3 and don’t understand why?
Well new exciting addition is being added to the Groomer Guy adventures this upcoming weekend. Will be able to give you more videos from the summer months from our area and about the trail work we do in the summer. Picking up a Brand new Side By Side. What will it be? (For those that know please keep it a secret lol). Will post an update Saturday when I pick it up. Should be a fun exciting summer.
Some cool picture shared by Joe Barron!!!! my kind of grooming adventure. :)
Picture from this morning May 12 2020 and second picture is from October 29th 2019. I’m tired of seeing snow now, 7 months out of the year is more then we’ll more then I need. I love snow but not year round lol.
Fire up the groomer!!!!! lol. This morning at 5:30am in Dubreuilville Ontario.
May 7th and there is still snow around, still lots in the bush. Check out a video my neighbor from across the street where doing last week to help pass the time during this Covid 19 pandemic. I was wondering why they where cutting snow with a chain saw. This is why. lol
Ok, it’s been too long of a winter now, Early November to April. 6 months of snow and counting..... time to move on to other things.
What a change in one day. Yesterday at the same time as today. Winter is not over up here. There was no snow on the back deck or the side deck yesterday.
Wow, might have to head out for some off trail exploring next week, still plenty of snow left in the bush plus what is coming. April never lets us down. Stay home, we don’t want you up here...... for now till next season lol :)
Some good promotions coming along for riders.
Right on Tekrider #tekrider #tekvest
My Son was having fun in our back yard yesterday as we had no power so we played in the snow. @ Dubreuilville
Winter ain’t over yet up here, all that snow and the trails will be closed. :(. Oh well it has to be done. Somebody has to go take down signs and orange makers. :). We got over a foot of snow last night. #ofsccovid19 #ithadtobedone #nextseason @ Dubreuilville
It’s spring time!!!!! lol Pictures of this morning. Got the car stuck, the wife has the 4x4.
Show your family this youtube Documentary if they dont believe you. Your kids will get an awakening.
OFSC Trails closing Saturday. No more grooming :( Now to try to explain that to my little guy that grooming is over for this season lol I can imagine it was not an easy decision but I had to be done.... Time to relax it was still a long season in my area, time to pick up the signs, lake markers and other stuff. https://www.ofsc.on.ca//urgent-message-to-ontario-snowmo/
Here's a follow up to my previous post. Many of you have brought up valid points, thank you, nice to have conversations and everyone is civil. :) I will say this Please think before you decide to head North to ride this weekend, try to stay home, I know riding in the forest and being outside is good but if you have to travel long distances to ride you risk the chance to bring the virus up North, infect people along the way. Our medical facilities are not as equipped as do...wn south. Be smart, don't just think of yourself, we are all in this together. let's not panic, let's not stop everyone from doing anything, there is still things we can do, why would we need to stay home in the house, we just need to keep a distance, wash hands, keep things you touch clean, don't pick your nose. lol let's all be safe and still enjoy life, this will all be over. Cheer. :)
I sure hope the OFSC are not thinking about closing trails, I can see them telling people not to go out and drive long distances to go riding but as locals our trails are still open and we have over 3 feet or more out there and we will be riding well into April. I will be heading out on the trails with my family to get away from it all, play in the snow, a little trail side fire and have fun, breathe in fresh air and not being stuck in the house at this time of year with the windows closed and breathing the same air. There is not much to do right now, entertainment places are closed. if you can ride the trails from your area, do so, enjoy it, have fun outside, but if you have to drive 5 or 6 hours or more to find snow to ride maybe you should stay home? What do you guys think?
The owners and team at Halfway Haven are supportive of the directives issued to prevent the further spread of COVID-19. Functionally, we serve as respite and s...helter on the governmentally supported OFSC trails providing fuel, safety, food and shelter to all who ride in the Algoma Forest. Considering this role, we will continue providing services to riders in adapted ways to comply with the directives. We ask that anyone experiencing any potential symptoms refrain from riding until they are certain that they are free from illness. We will restrict the number of individuals present within our facility and when able, riders are encouraged to rest outside of the facility and take advantage of these mild temperatures and bright sunshine. Currently, our supply chain has been marginally impacted, however, some of our suppliers are reporting shortages and we anticipate there could be some downstream affect. Before riding to Halfway, please contact us prior to departure to assure adequate supplies can be had. In the event we cannot assure your security, we will shut our camp down and broadcast it loudly through our social networking. We intend to remain available to riders until the OFSC shuts the trails down or until our supplies run out. We appreciate your patience as we adjust our operations accordingly. See more
Spring time grooming. . Dubreuilville Ontario.
Finally got the chance to post pictures of the groomer rescue. I was able to drive it out with the backhoe’s help we put a chain on the left corner and it kept me from sliding down. Once out I groomed my way back to town. Thanks for everyone that Helped. Norman Beaupre, Pat Bouchard Jason Tremblay for operating the Backhoe and Daniel Guay for the use of his Backhoe. For those that said. Easy to get out, unhook and drive out. Well it’s a good thing I stopped as once the Backhoe cleared snow we noticed that there was no road under the right track, it was a drop, just filled in snow with the top frozen and the rest all soft salty type snow. The chance of the groomer slipping down even deeper was very possible.
For those that have been asking how much snow we have. This is how much, Hwy 17 between Wawa and Dubreuilville. Today. @ Dubreuilville
That's how you plow roads lol. That's a solid chain.
This is why our trails have gone to Yellow. We got lots of heavy snow yesterday
Oups, My Son said Daddy...we stuck yup, better call mommy to come pick us up.
Oups, sent it a bit to hard? Awwww $#|+..... Even having 23 years of experience of grooming things will quickly change and you end up in a bad situation. What those 23 years experience will teach you is when to stop, evaluate the situation and stop before it gets worst. Get more stuck, loose a track.... or flip over. The worst part of this is had to leave it there my 3 year old was with me, it’s right next to the road, I have to work today so Pat and Norm will go out and pull it out. -17c last night so the soft ground will be frozen and help to get it out.
Cool invention of a tool to get you out when stuck in the deep snow.
When the drag slides off the road and the groom wants to go too, stopped before it gets worst, big deep drop on the right, easy to make things way worst. Trust me it’s worst then it looks you can’t just drive it out. #sendit #oups #ohshit #worstthenitlooks #pullmeout #pistenbully
Trails are awesome this weekend in my home town of Dubreuilville. Spring is in the air. @ Dubreuilville
