Great news! Our new booking system through JaneApp is up and running! Keep an eye out for our welcome email that we will be sending out today. We can now slowly begin booking in appointments. As a reminder, we will be prioritizing those appointments that have been cancelled throughout these past few months first. As per recommendation from our CMTBC guidelines, we will be beginning our work schedules with a slightly lower caseload than pre-pandemic level to ease into our new... routines and make sure that we are providing the most effective and safest care possible. Please be patient with our therapists as we begin contacting our clients for appointments. Online booking has been turned off for the time being, but please feel free to message us on Facebook or email us at [email protected] if you have any questions or concerns. We hope everyone is doing well and we can't wait to see you all again soon!

To our valued patients, There is light at the end of the tunnel! We greatly appreciate your patience. Our therapists have been working hard to create a comprehensive return to work protocol and secure supplies to ensure that we, and our clients can safely return to clinical practice. We are also currently trying to create a new schedule for ourselves that staggers appointment times to minimize contact in the clinic. We will be rebooking appointments once that is in place and ...will be doing our best to rebook cancelled appointments first. Our official re-opening date will be June 8th. Please note that some therapists will be starting at a later date due to personal preference or responsibilities elsewhere. This is a work in progress for all of us. It will take time to implement new routines within our new guidelines. We will be updating you with new protocols and procedures along the way as soon as possible. We look forward to creating a safe and healthy environment for both patients and therapists in the coming weeks! We hope everyone is feeling healthy mentally and physically through these strenuous circumstances!

Now that we have received guidelines for reopening from our governing body, is it going to take us some time to get all necessary supplies and create a safe reopening plan to have readily available for our patients, governing body, and WorkSafeBC. Dear Patients, As we await further guidance from the College of Massage Therapists of B.C., we will remain closed while we take all necessary precautions in preparing the clinic to reopen. We do not yet have a set date of reopening at this time.... We will do our best to be in contact as soon as possible with those who had appointments cancelled while we navigate a safe reopening. With the rapidly progressing pandemic, it's important that each of us does everything we can to flatten the curve and slow the spread of this virus. This includes taking drastic social distancing measures and staying home when you can. The nature of massage therapy is most often not critical care and includes close one on one contact. As such, we believe it is in our community's best interest that The Healing oak ceases to operate until this crisis is behind us. Effectiv...e immediately, we are canceling all appointments until the end of March, at which time we will reassess based on the current circumstances and recommendations. Online booking availability has been turned off until further notice. It is with a heavy heart that we make this decision. Dear valued patients of The Healing Oak, Your health is our number one concern. We want our community to know that we are doing our part to keep our patients and ourselves safe. Surfaces and common areas are wiped down frequently to help disinfect these areas and reduce the risk of transmissions. Linens are changed and washed with bleach after each treatment. Hand hygiene will continue with industry standards , washing before and after each treatment and after handling u...sed linens. We are doing our part in keeping the clinic safe and we need your help as well. At any time of year, most importantly with cold and flu season upon us, we ask that you do not come in for a massage if you are sick or feeling unwell in any capacity. To help prevent the spread of germs, for your well being and the well being of others, please cancel your appointment if you are feeling ill and stay home and take care of yourself. We will exercise our right to refuse treatment to any patients that come in sick as we respect the wellness of all the people that use our services. At this time, if you are traveling outside of Canada we ask that you do not come in for a massage therapy treatment until 14 days after returning home.
