Walked through a house today that is an absolute smokin’ deal and has soooooo much potential - but was INTENSELY spiritually charged. My buyer commented that he had a headache after and couldn’t shake the heavy energies felt at the home. Instead of making a rational decision on the purchase of this home my buyer was very enthusiastic about leaving as soon as possible- and so was I. 8 YEARS AGO today I quit smoking officially and forever. I had tried everything including hypnotherapy, acupuncture, patches, gum, electronic cigarettes etc- but nothing stuck until I found my own inner source of power. For me, it was wanting to have kids and clean out my system before I even thought about getting pregnant. That thought became enough motivation for me to stick with it. (And I have two beautiful girls to show for it!) . When I started smoking in the 90s it... was somewhat the norm in the rockstar rebellion subculture I loved and connected with. It was also the way I grounded myself and took time for myself during my busy management career. I don’t think I realized I had an addictive personality until I smoked for a few years and found myself unable and unwilling to stop. (Oh and I LOVED it too) I believe that when you have that personality of all or nothing or go hard or go home it’s VERY easy to become addicted to even simple things like a certain food, a certain feeling or a certain type of relationship. I also believe that this type of personality can be such a blessing too. I am living proof that you can channel these same qualities that feed an addictive personality into POSITIVE changes in your life. So don’t beat yourself up if you are struggling. Hold space in your heart to create positive change and celebrate your small successes.
