***UPDATE FOR ACUPUNCTURE PATIENTS*** We continue to stay OPEN for clinic appointments and have made some adjustments to tighten up our COVID protocols: - Our waiting room is temporarily closed. If someone accompanies you to your appointment, they should wait in the car ... - Please arrive 5 min before your appointment time please stay in your car and call us (902 892-7788), we will let you know when to enter the clinic. -Reminder: Masks are required. -Upon entering the clinic please disinfect or wash hands and then you will be directed to you’re treatment room . After your treatment has been completed you will be asked to stay in the room until we come and get you. -There is a limit of 1 person at a time at our reception desk. Please note: We have an effective air filtration system and all areas of the clinic are disinfected before and after every patient. SCREENING QUESTIONS Do you have any COVID related symptoms: fever, chills, body aches, headache, sore throat, runny nose, severe fatigue, or cough? (If so please reschedule and call 811) -Have you been out of the province in the last 14 days? -Have you been in contact with anyone that has tested positive for COVID or is waiting for test results for COVID? -Have you been in any notified possible exposure sites at the announced day and time? (If so please reschedule and monitor for symptoms)

When receiving Acupuncture & TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine ) and other natural medicine approaches, we want you to know we are keeping up-to-date. Considering how the COVID-19 strain is making its way around the world and now on PEI, we want to inform you of the steps we're taking at The Health Associates to maintain a healthy and safe environment for our staff and our patients. What We're Doing: -Increasing how often Clinic areas and restrooms are being cleaned. This inc...ludes wiping down all surfaces, door handles, reception desk, POS machine etc... with a hospital grade cleaner that is effective against viruses like COVID-19. - Increasing the amount of space between seating in our waiting room -We currently have a high quality air filtration system and all patients are treated in private treatment rooms. - When acupuncture is being preformed...all patients are treated using a "Clean needling technique" to ensure safety of patient and practitioner - We are monitoring practices within the TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) community to keep aware of the most up-to-date acupuncture and herbal approaches to guide ourselves and our patients in keeping the immune system strong as new diseases and infections emerge. We are monitoring the situation and adjusting protocol as recommended. What You Can Do: -We ask that you reschedule your appointment by phone if you are are experiencing any of the following symptoms (mild or severe): - Fever - Cough - Difficulty breathing/shortness of breath - Have travelled to any area with an ongoing spread of COVID-19 - Live with someone who recently travelled to an area with an ongoing spread of COVID-19 - Have been in contact with someone known to have COVID-19 or experiencing symptoms similar to the Flu or COVID-19 - Please thoroughly wash your hands with provided soap and hot water upon arriving at the Clinic, especially after going to the bathroom, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. Scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds. - Avoid touching your mouth, nose and eyes. - If you find yourself sneezing or coughing, please do it into your elbow ...then please wash your hands. - Please bring your own water bottle as our complimentary water dispenser will not be available during this time to prevent spread on COVID-19 from potentially contaminated cups and or the dispenser itself.
