Happy Feb 3rd! This random date may not mean much to you, but it means everything to the pocket slingin' ginger in these pictures. It was 4 years ago today that I opened up at that tiny location on Main Street. Wasn't feeling law school and my second MA was probably not gonna do much for me, so I decided to do the one thing I was always passionate about - making veganism accessible. In every sense of the term. Whatever image you had of the perfect, healthy, pure, yogi, whole ...foods vegan (even though I love them too) I'm here to show you that you don't have to be that. You can drink beer and eat deep fried food and listen to punk and be awesome and still give a damn about animals. I definitely got told this concept wouldn't work. People weren't ready for it, I should have dairy too, I should do raw food, blah blah blah. But HERE I AM, 4 years later and still standing! Not only that, but doing better every year! I've got the most amazing customers and the GREATEST staff of any restaurant anywhere (no, really). I will say that being intersectional, I've gotten wrapped up in some weird debacles for being loudly anti racist and aggressively pro LGBTQ2SIA+ rights over the past few years (awesome, you can fight me on those all day). I've also met a lot of personal goals. I got health benefits for the full time staff, I opened up a SECOND business to bring vegan junk food to the other end of town (with some awesome pals), and once again, I'm still standing, and that alone says a lot. Here's to 4 years of your support. I am endlessly grateful and humbled by it. See more

Real talk, people always ask me what my favourite thing on the menu is. I'm really attached to things like the Anti Warrior Bowl and the Pizza Pockets, but my absolute fave is the omelette wrap. I eat one every. Single. Day. No, really. I'm eating one now. Tofu "egg", mozza and cheddar cheeze, beyond meat sausage, fresh mushrooms, green peppers, tomatoes, and green onions in a soft flour tortilla. YUUUUM.

Well, it's finally time! The temperature is dropping and it finally feels like hot chocolate season! Did you know we make our hot chocolate in house? Available as classic, mint chocolate, chocolate caramel, or chocolate cinnamon and made with your choice of oat, soy, or almond milk!

It's finally feeling a little brisk out there, making it perfect soup weather! I personally love when we do cream soups, it's such a treat to get a good vegan cream soup! Today's: Cream of Mushroom!
