I did it What do you think Of course, I will have to blend them in. But I am happy with the general progress... One oops to fix up on the leading edge, seen in the fist photo
I think I like the sleek look of the F16XL better than the standard version... And the Reaper has such a nice rounded nose But wait, what have I done... Will my plan work Keep watching
Sunday, I paid a visit to my brother Topher, he was doing some house cleaning So, I inherited some earlier career pieces (glue bombs)...we all have them, I certainly do Here is the 1/72 scale F-16XL and a 1/48 scale Reaper drone... I have an idea... Stay tuned
Good morning everyone A few minutes spent on the missile turret. I cut the boxes to reduce the height, giving it a more rectangular frontal profile Tamiyas Extra Thin Green Cement is not strong to hold this type of plastic, and it seemed to either evaporate or absorb as fast as it was applied... So, I had to switch to Tamiyas thicker White Cement
The wings are on! I have to admit there is an Airwolf inspiration here I would like to add guns (again like Airwolf), but recessed into the leading edge like WWII fighters There is a lot of gaps to fill in between the fuselage and wings... Thanks for stopping by
Here is the dry fitted piece! The third picture (has the yellow Tamiya tape), shows where I want to align/attach the wings to the bottom I had to add further square tube bracing to support the wing structures (the engine housings for two RAH-66 Comanche helicopters)... Thanks for following!
I have installed a wing spar for strength and to get the symmetrical positioning on both sides I hope you like it
Hello friends! I had a few minutes unpacking some of my unbuilt collection (last night, sorry, I forgot to post) and got distracted with this piece Here, I have reduced the top of the engine housing to get a lower profile... Also, I am working on swapping out the 1/48 scale cockpit for the 1/72 scale cockpit of the RAH-66 Comanche I hope you like it
Mail call! Still sealed in the plastic bags Well...not anymore This is an excellent kit, my only complaint is the straight tin-soldier legs... I cant wait to build this one Have a good night everyone
Good morning everyone! I cant wait to get settled in to the new home and organize my model area! Than I can get back to more regular posts Here I have used plastic shipping trays from old Apple iPads saved over the years (I need to purge clutter and deal wil unfinished projects)... The goal is to create a missile turret I hope you like it
I only had a few minutes unpacking some boxes at the new house this morning before I have to run some errands, but... Some dry-fitting ideas cant hurt The main fuselage is the Stinger experimental helicopter in 1/48 scale (a gluebomb find missing parts)... Two straddling 1/72 scale RAH-66 Comanche engines And one Comanche cockpit, which fits decently I hope you like it
Sadly, I cant make it this weekend Anyone going please share any pictures! I would love to see them And enjoy the show
Good morning from the new home of The Hobby Hanger The new house has a built-in desk, where I will working on building kits But, no laundry tub for cleaning out the airbrush. So, I am not sure where I will be setting up my spray booth... Thank you for your patience, I know things have been quiet on the page for awhile now during the move We will be back to normal soon
Well, times up Now for a second cup of coffee and make my beautiful treasured wife breakfast Then, the rest of the day will be spent packing for our move next weekend ... Still some minor moving details to work out, but it will all get done
Good morning I have closed up the bottom fuselage form and think it looks pretty good I will have to fill the wing root seam adjoining the fuselage... Next is the landing gear bays and the chop gap
Fiddling around with more ideas
We are moving in a week, and I cant wait that long to work on models So, I managed to find this box of 1/72 scale fighter jet spare parts Saturday morning, models and my second cup of coffe is just starting

1/200 Destroid Monster barrels are ready to go I am just holding a couple in place for this photo to give you an idea of the placement This marks the end of Monster work until after our move... The next step is painting before the feet, knees and thighs/hips are assembled I hope you like it
Here is the Destroid Monster barrels I am half way there
Hello everyone! One question... what is better than the model you are working on So, technically pre-started with the panel line wash, Im calling it a glue bomb salvage operation... It was gifted from my brother Christophers collection Btw, the answer is...the next one
Hey everyone! I hope you are doing well I applied some filler to the 1/200 scale Destroid Monsters barrels...several days ago, sorry, I forgot to post I will have to try the styrene putty method
I have started scribing the panel lines on the second Monster I am placing the lines in different locations to add a sense of uniqueness
The Monster triumvirate in 1/200 scale With the family moving in a couple weeks, I have packed up my unbuilt models, my airbrush and exhaust fan. So, I only have these two to work on (since they fit in one box) This morning was filled with (actually sanding) leg work... I am intentionally adding unique details and panel line scribing I hope you like them
Good morning everyone I saw this trunk at a thrift store for $60 yesterday when I was out with my brother and nephew I thought it would be a great storage unit for my unbuilt model kits. Then, I noticed....... RCAF Wow I decided to pass for now since we are moving in a couple weeks and everything is boxed up already
Destroid Monster in 1/200 scale Worked on some sanding of the torso section on the first unit. Then began scribing panel lines on the left side and top I hope you like it
I had a few minutes to apply filler putty to the seams on my Destroid Monsters Have a good night and stay safe
Hey everyone, check this out From experience, Moscato kits are amazing Rush on over to reserve yours
Destroid Monster differences from another angle
A quick work of caution, this half-hearted nose panel lines will not line up if you scribe them before joining the hull halves
Destroid Monsters I am trying to make each one unique Different accenting with styrene stripes and placing the scribed panel lines in different locations... I hoe you like it, stay safe
I hope you are well We have about a month until our move, so I am a little cautious about committing to any big projects right now... But it doesnt hurt to fiddle and imagine... What do you think
My brother picked up a mystery kit today
I had a little road trip today and met up with three of my brothers at a Carefree Hobbies in Oakville, Ontario I didnt pick anything up, but it was fun to look around We decided to hit Firehouse Subs for lunch and enjoyed some food and chatting before wed visited Panther Hobbies... I found Spitfire Mk.Vb pontoons in 1/24 scale for $10. It made me think of the Macross Sea Sergeant I built some time back I might have to consider making another
