Where are you?? I mean, really - where are you? It’s hard right now, I know. We’re still struggling in this strange new state of being, far from what we knew prior to the c word, hoping that 2021 will bring us closer to normal. So, let’s talk about the here and now, since that’s where we are.... Are you trying to work out at home? Is any zen time on your mat interrupted by four legged fur babies, or the two legged human kind?? Too many distractions?? Too many thing...s on your to do list??(...er, excuses?? ) I hear you! It’s TOUGH - I personally don’t prefer to work out at home, BUT I do what I need to to look after my own fitness and well being. Staying dedicated and motivated is HARD, so I thought I would share a few things that just might help to keep you on track Roll out your mat!! Yes - leave it where you can se it and will be magnetically drawn to it. Your mat is calling you and you don’t want to ignore it’s loving calls Put on your favourite music - what ever relaxes you or pumps you up! I have a rock playlist for a pumped up yoga sweat session because that’s my jam sometimes Join an online fitness group and make yourself accountable every day or a few times a week. Tag a friend and zoom a workout together. Make sure you’re getting the right vitamins/minerals and sleep to keep your mood elevated. That will help motivate you to keep moving! Schedule your workout or yoga session in like you are going to the gym or studio....and don’t cancel or miss it!! Treat it like the real deal - even make yourself pay $10 for missing it!
