The Hub hosted another Learn & Connect Session last night. What an energizing discussion it was! Big thanks to Lindsay Rubeniuk for leading us through an honest and insightful conversation about time management. We all have 168 in a week, what we choose to do with those hours is up to us! The first step to getting in control of your time is to be honest with yourself about where you are currently spending your time and to figure out what your non-negotiables are for each day. From there, time management becomes much more attainable! Our next Learn & Connect event will happen in February, keep an eye out for updates as it’s sure to be another great session!
The Hubs have been operating a little differently these days to keep compliance with the Manitoba Pandemic Response: Level Red (Critical). Unless changes come from the Province of Manitoba early in the New Year, we’ll be continuing these protocols until at least January 15, 2021. This means, the following will still be in place: No in-person meetings between staff, clients and/or coworkers No beverage service is available at this time... Screening and sanitizing protocols remain in place All client services and events will be hosted remotely (phone or video) Coworking capacity: maximum of two people in separate offices in Dauphin and one person in separate office in Flin Flon As soon as we're able to get back to seeing you in person we'll send out an update!

This interactive series is delivered on six consecutive Wednesdays and provides in-depth instruction on preparing each section of the business plan. A business plan template is included. Classes are small and range in size from 6 to 12 participants so there is lots of time for questions and discussion. Sessions will occur on January ...13, 20, 27 and February 3, 10, 17, 2021 from 5:30 8:30 p.m. There is a small fee for participation but the cost has been subsidized by WECM for folks connected to the Hub. Please send an email to [email protected] by this Friday, December 18th, if you’re interested in learning more or signing up.

Fear is what holds me back and what pushes me forward" The Hub hosted another Learn & Connect Session on December 9th. A truly inspiring discussion lead by Nicole Yunker took us deep into the fear experience and left us with some practical strategies for turning fear into a catalyst for joyful growth. A couple of key take-aways from the evening were: 1 You are BRAVE- own it & celebrate it.... 2 Identify what brings you joy. Integrate joy into your experience of fear. It will help you come back to the situation as a more effective problem solver. 3 Include others in your journey, people you know and people you’re meeting for the first time. Look for those who inspire, support, motivate, and challenge you. Take time to genuinely appreciate, acknowledge, and give gratitude for their feedback. 4 Keep track of and celebrate your progress so that you can see how far you've come. A BIG thanks to Nicole for sharing her story with us! Our next Learn & Connect event will happen in January, keep an eye out for updates as it’s sure to be another impactful session!
