CROSS BODY MED BALL TOSS - This is done best against a cinderblock wall (they really need to build more buildings with cinderblock walls... ) Get a solid athletic stance. Square up to the wall and pass the medball (ideally one that is a zero bounce ball, if the ball bounces, adjust your distance accordingly). Then pass the ball to the wall with a powerful trunk rotation. Hold the ball as if you are passing a pizza across to someone else and BE READY to receive the ball on the... opposite side. Suggested Rep/Set scheme is 2 - 4 sets of 10 passes per side. The lower sets for the less mature athlete (that means athletic age, not calendar age). - Have fun! - https://www.youtube.com/watch/XnE2B4LqMWY - #fitness #medball #medicineball #trunk #rotation #core #abs #thehubpt #onlinecoach See more

Grilled Turkey Shawarma - - - Seriously, Who doesn't like Shawarma?! - - - INGREDIENTS: Turkey... 1 skinless, boneless turkey breast (or 2 thighs) 1/3 cup olive oil juice of half a lemon 3 garlic cloves, crushed 2 Tbsp chili powder 2 tsp cumin 1 tsp each turmeric & salt 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper INGREDIENTS: Flatbread 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour 1 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt 2 Tbsp olive oil 1/2 cup water INGREDIENTS: Garlic Tahini Sauce: 1/2 cup plain yogurt 1/4 cup tahini (optional) juice of half a lemon 2 garlic cloves, finely crushed 1/4 tsp salt For serving: chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, purple onion, pickles & parsley - - - DIRECTIONS: 1 - Marinate turkey with the oil, lemon juice, garlic, spices, S & P. Combine & coat the turkey well. Refrigerate for a few hours or freeze for longer storage. 2 - Cook on a preheated grill, with the lid closed for 30-40 mins, turning as needed. Brush with excess marinade (stop brushing at least 5 minutes before finished cooking). Set aside to rest for at least 10 minutes. 3 - Flatbread. Combine flour, baking powder & salt in bowl, stir in oil, then water, stirring until the dough comes together. Turn out to a countertop & knead for a few minutes until smooth. Set aside (cover with a tea towel) to rest about 20 mins. When ready to cook, cut dough into 6-8 pieces, roll out as thin as you can on a clean countertop with no flour and cook on a preheated grill or hot cast iron skillet, with a drizzle of oil, turning as the dough puffs & each side gets grill-marked. 4 - Sauce. Whisk together yogurt, tahini, lemon juice, garlic & salt. Add a bit of water if too thick. 5 - Thinly slice turkey & serve in warm flatbreads, topped with cucumber, tomato, onion, pickles & parsley, & drizzled generously with the tahini sauce. - - - Source: https://bit.ly/37v1KvL

Ahh the great Typeface debate. Which one to choose? You see a design starts from a sketch, a scribble and a doodle. Then it evolves into a breathing thing that can evoke so many emotions and responses JUST with a flare of the typeface and the color of the strokes.... There's method to the design madness and a whole lot of "clicking through" the massive foundries out there. Special thanks to @adobe for making this process easier, faster, and legal with proper access and licensing to use the chosen typeface for commercial use. - #fonts #typeface #graphicdesign #print #web #branding #identity #adobefonts #adobe #emotions #creativeintelligence #expression #expressyourself

WELCOME TO THE 100KG CLUB Jose! - Today Josè competed in a club competition and Killed it! He hit a personal best in the snatch hitting 100kg with ease and finesse. Then he successfully clean and jerked 125kg. Followed by a stellar 130kg lift but some small technical stuff (we still call it good in our books ). Jose you did amazing! ... Well done. - Thanks for the invite @macsstrengthweightlifting And thank you @frontierperformance for sharing your space with us! It was a lot of fun. @albertaweightlifting - #olympicweightlifting #olylifting #snatch #cleanandjerk #clubmeet #weightlifting #strong #barbellclub #thehubpt See more
