With the pending freedom march in St.Thomas on Saturday; The Ice box will be open however we will be following strict mask wearing policy and will not be serving anyone without a mask or allowing entry. If you are a regular customer with a medical condition our owner will be onsite to speak with. Our owner including his family is comprised of health care workers during the day and take pride on supporting the community at its hardest time (when in hospital). The Hawco's are ...family first, healthcare second, ice cream third. While it is a given right to protest and speak ones mind in Canada we do not support this movement and will excerise our right to only serve those who are doing their part to protect our town and loved ones alike by supressing the spread of transmitable illnesses and overloading our healthcare system. We also want to ensure the safety of our staff and their bubbles. No one should have to risk their loved ones for this. Believe us when we say we do not want to be using our store as a soap box however this one hits too close to home. If you have any issues please message us and stay safe.
