When was the last time you heard a story that really touched you? Stories have the ability to stir up emotions. They can leave an impact. It can be very pow...erful. Just last week it happened to me. We were relaxing after a long day and decided to watch a movie. My husband is the king of picking awesome shows to watch. He turned on a documentary called The Weight of Gold HBO I didn't know what I was getting into when we started watching it. Initially it seems as though it is the story of Olympians as they manage the decision and impact of pushing out the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. As the story continues to unfold it becomes a real story about opportunity, mental health, perception, strength, and clarity. I learned so much I didn't know. I learned truth from the hearts of the athletes. I felt empathy and compassion. The movie has sat with me for over a week since. If you haven't seen it I would take the time to watch it.
