Last year, we did a self-care advent where we posted a self-care idea daily for the first three weeks of December. The holidays are often a loaded time, and esp...ecially this year, there are a lot of other hard things going on with Covid-19 still circulating in our communities and all of the uncertainty that is bringing. So, we have decided to share it again with all of you! One of the reasons we have chosen the winter solstice as the end point for our ‘advent’ is the recognition that up until December 21st the days are still getting shorter and the nights longer. If we let it, this shift can remind us to rest and go within. However, with all the holidays and celebrations that occur at this time of year, this is often one of the most difficult times to justify slowing down. We hope this ‘advent’ will serve as a daily reminder to all of us to slow down, breathe, and take the time to take care of ourselves through this busy time of year.
