SIMPLE STEPS TO MEDITATE IMPERFECTLY 1) Begin by sitting comfortably in a quiet, undisturbed place. You can sit on the edge of a small cushion, a chair, the grass or the couch (almost anywhere). Keep your spine straight, shoulders relaxed and your hands resting gently in your lap either facing upward or downward. 2) Gently close your eyes and begin to notice the natural flow of your breath coming in and out of the nose. Use your breath as a focal point to return to each... time you notice yourself back in a trail of thought. The mind is designed to think, so there is nothing you need to do to control it. 3) Notice and be an observer of the thoughts, and gently return your focus back to the breath. You may have to come back to your inhales and exhales a hundred times in a five minute session, and that's okay! You're becoming more aware and training the brain to become less impulsive and reactive. #meditate

Although there are rough seas of struggle, uncertainty, lessons and change, they choose to sail through the uncharted waters knowing their inner compass is leading the way, even if they can't see where it's guiding them. They immerse and honor their need for nourishment, rest and healthy daily rituals that nurture their mind, body and soul. They make time for themselves on a daily basis, knowing that they can show up fully to their life when they give themselves space to breathe, reflect and rejuvenate. They embrace the messiness of life, and all the beautiful imperfections that add character and meaning to their life. Laughter, silliness, possibly dancing in public or adding the odd sarcastic joke or F bomb is a natural occurrence. They honor, love and accept who they are - the dark and the light; while being self-compassionate, forgiving and gentle with themselves. They shine their light from the inside out being true to who they are authentically and doing what they love, as that is what fills them with passion, purpose and fulfillment. Announcement (If you’re not a subscriber, please read below for update) I've got some exciting changes happening in my world, and with that comes the dilemma of "How do I make time for it all?"! ... The real answer is, I can't. I preach self-care, wellness and solitude. Right now more than ever, I need to be the example of these values for myself because without them I cannot show up fully for anyone else (my dog would definitely expect this the most... :o)) I am going to be stepping away from my intuitive work while I integrate into this new chapter in my life. We sold our house, temporarily ‘Airbnb’ing & exploring new parts of the city, nearing the completion of our new home build and moving in very soon! For those who may not know, I also work full time as a shift worker in Emergency Services; and this year has been exceptionally demanding given the circumstances. For all my clients who are currently booked in September/October, please know this will not affect your session(s)! If you are booked for a session, I will also send you an email directly letting you know that this will not affect your upcoming appointment. I simply won't be taking any new bookings moving forward for the time being.
