2 years ago today, I started on my entrepreneurial path. I started in a very typical way: I got fired from my 9-5 job! A fellow chef challenged me to go out on my own. So here I am, 2 years in and loving life. This road has been full of ups and downs but I’m so glad to be my own boss and to be out there, serving a product that I created and know and love so much. Mahalo nui loa to all of you for the support over the last couple years both in my cheffing ventures and here a...t The Island Oasis. I can’t wait to see all of your smiling faces at the trailer again soon. With that being said, I am going to take a break until the new year to get some much need rest and relaxation in. Merry Christmas, happy holidays and happy new year. I’ll see you all in 2021!

As matcha is a concentrated form of green tea, it has been long reputed by enthusiasts for centuries that matcha possesses stronger health benefits associated with green tea. Caffeine is more concentrated in matcha, which Japanese Zen monks have used to stimulate awakeness, but the main matcha constituent expected to have a stress-reducing effect is theanine. Theanine is the most abundant amino acid in green tea, and together with succinic acid, gallic acid and theogallin is what gives matcha its umami flavor. Get down to the end of Diamond Road by the London Drugs for your matcha latte today!
