Hello to Everyone supporting The Jelly Girls page. I created The Jelly Girls and needed a commercial kitchen to work out of. We created Our Kitchen Brantford and we took over a year to build one of the cleanest, most efficient, commercial shared kitchens around. We watched it blossom with young food businesses and filled our community kitchen with classes, events, parties, reunions and our famous Night Markets. We celebrated as two new businesses opened their own restaurant ...and another a food manufacturing facility as their businesses blossomed. We also watched as COVID stopped all these events and put young food businesses and Our Kitchen Brantford into a reactive state to keep our doors open. Chefs created meals for us and our Meals to Go program. We delivered, we fed the homeless, the shelter and enjoyed a close relationship with our community. We now celebrate our membership, unique, beautiful chefs, home cooks, bakers and specialty food creators with our 2021 calendar. See their beauty and passion for food, how they got started, and enjoy their successes. They are selling everything they are creating to local businesses in our community and beyond. We are so pleased to have been able to participate in donating to The Beauty Barns annual event called - Awakening to Better Beauty. If you haven’t heard about it before, it’s an event for nominated women in our community who are going through cancer treatment. This is there day to get pampered and spoiled with spa service’s and donations. Because of COVID things look a little bit different this year, the spirit of this event is as strong as ever! Some days are just better than others. This one was perfect. The Jelly Girls got to spend time at Brantview Orchards. I used to "dangle" in the trees in our small orchard as a kid. Apple blossoms in your hair and tiny scratches from untrimmed trees. Chased up a tree from a blind calf. Ok, I know he was more scared then I was. I can smell the apples and the green.
