Did you know....??? ... that good digestion depends on the taste, sight and smell of food, because all these trigger and initiate the release of digestive juices in the stomach and increase the availability of digestive enzymes.
Did you know...??? Heartburn does not necessarily mean that you have a lot of acid (gastric juice) in the stomach. Actually, more times than less, this is not where the burning sensation is coming from, but the lack of digestive juices in the stomach. Yep! The Low Esophageal Sphincter, (the valve that opens to let food into your stomach, and then closes), needs acidity to work. When there is little digestive juice in the stomach, this valve might not close properly, possibly allowing partially digested food and the little bit of acid in there, to backtrack into the esophagus and might irritate it, originating the burning sensation. Feel free to ask me ANY QUESTIONS if you have heartburn.
Did you know???? Chewing is one of the most important and simplest ways to support good digestion, by begining the physical breakdown of food
Meat stock is delicious and nourishing. It is full of minerals, vitamins, amino-acids and many other nutrients in a very bio-available form. You can use it as the base to make your soups, gravies or stews. It lasts in the refrigerator for about a week, or it can be frozen for a later use. Here is the recipe to make chicken stock in a slow cooker: http://theladdertowellness.com/chicken%20stock/
