For those of you using or thinking about switching to Mozilla Firefox - Version 29 has been released today, bringing some needed design changes and a visual overhaul, and putting it more aesthetically in line with Google Chrome. Anyone wanting more information about the update or feeling a little confused by the new look can share this around and find more info below! http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

The fix is here!! Microsoft pushed the update to squish that nasty Internet Explorer bug in a hurry. This update applies to Internet Explorer versions 6.0 through 11 on all current Microsoft operating systems, and includes Windows XP! Make sure to check your Windows Updates and get this one into your computer ASAP. I'd still recommend switching to Google Chrome or Firefox for your daily browsing to avoid problems like these in the future. If you have any questions or need help getting the update in or making sure you are all patched up - let me know http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2964358

Having trouble making sense of the Internet Explorer bug making the rounds on the news?? Put simply, it allows a 'would-be' attacker to gain full access to your computer provided they can trick you into clicking a link (in email or social media) or visiting a web site that exploits the vulnerability. Don't panic!! A few simple things you can do to minimize or avoid the issue entirely: 1. Use a different (and better) internet browser. We recommend and love Google Chrome its f...ast, safe and fun - but you can use Firefox, Safari or Opera as well, all are better options than IE. 2. If you simply must use Internet Explorer, enable Enhanced Protected Mode, just ask me if you are unsure how. 3. A little bit of common sense goes a long way! Don't click on links that seem suspicious, and make sure your security and router firmware are up to date. Also, if you are still using Windows XP, it really is time to switch to something new. Microsoft may fix the problem, but they aren't in any hurry, especially for Windows XP users. As always, let me know if you have any problems or if you think you have been affected by the newest bug.
