Number for y'all that I wrote after coming home from working on the Alberta drilling rigs for 3 months. .. after returning I went to the local corner store..Smits bakery and chatted with Daphne the store owner that I had known my whole life.... She was in her 80s.and looked frail and pail Almost even ghostly in her old age About a week later I spoke to her daughter that was now r...unning the store along with her brother. After tell her that it was nice to see her mom again she asked when and where I had seen her. I said right where you are standing about a week ago. Her reply was...so you have seen her too!! I said well yeah just like every other year of my life. She said.... yeah... except she passed away 3Months ago!!! Guess whose phone ran out of data while filming this video? Oh well they always say...leave em wanting more lol I guess if you seek out the studio version on iTunes You'll find out how it ends... As a side note this is a self funded event that began as a fund raiser for a local charity who has not returned my calls after my requests to donate the proceeds to them........ so now we are simply asking for donations at the door to cover our costs in putting on this event for you all to enjoy . So TLR fans past present and future... If you have followed this band in the past you would know that though we have had our shining moments that we are forever grateful for....it has also been a bumpy road of trial and error that could make a preacher swear! When a member leaves for his own reasons you must find another interesting and interested candidate to fill his shoes.... And then it takes months to figure out if they are telling you what you want to hear just so they... can be in a band or if they actually do believe in YOUR band and now that they're in ....they want to change everything to suit them. As you can imagine James Kelly and i have learned this one over and over. But finally with Chuck Blake on bass...love the guy to the Moon and his playing and creativeness... without having to tap dance around his ego....he hasn't got one. And new drummer Martin Myke, who is also an old friend of mine... which i had no clue was even a musician....but as it turns out is a pretty damn good drummer and fits right in with our flavor... family and style... again without the ego....we now tease the shit out of each other while the music is coming along more comfortably than ever. We will be doing Bob fest this year...and tonight i will find out from Chas..(Chuck) About our August gig and if it is going as planned... I think you re going to see the chemistry on stage that im talking about....the chemistry that Jay Kelly and I have had since the beginning....stay tuned... cheers
