The Log Connection

I spent the evening working on the floor plans and had some time to get started on the rear elevation of a new post and beam project heading to the Yellowstone area. We've built this home twice before as a stacked log package but I really look forward to seeing this version with the flared root cedar logs. (not yet shown)

We've been asked to quote a project from some hand sketches provided by a potential client. They are a little to vague so we've made this quick and crude 3D model to confirm the design and ensure that we all understand the project equally and don't burn up time trying to guess the details.

We know who to call when a client is in a hurry and we need to get some logs.

The new Ambrosio handcrafted log home plan. This 2076 square feet 3 bedroom home design is perfect for all seasons. Enjoy the sun on the open deck, or seek the shelter of the covered patio. Access from an attached double car garage to both the house and patio is quick and convenient. Such a nice clean well staged delivery site. We normally go from trailer to house without ever placing any logs onto the ground but this client is experienced and we well prepared. The logs shown on the dunage are the logs that didn't make it up on day one and were placed there overnight to empty the transport truck and avoid an overnight sitting fee. We've had this design for well over a decade but I rather like how this one turned out with the flared western red cedar logs.

When were prebuilding the log shell package the size of home is pretty well disguised up to the point of headers.We have the two sides on and next weeks photos will have all headers in place.
