The Michener Institute of Education at UHN

In April 2020, dedicated professionals throughout The Michener Institute and UHN collaborated with subject matter experts across Toronto to launch the COVID Care Learning platform. 10 months later, the online platform is being used by 192 hospitals throughout Ontario, attracting more than 11,500 learners.

On December 14, 2020, University Health Network gave the first Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in Ontario at The Michener Institute of Education at UHN. Michener learned in early December it would be the pilot vaccination site, with one week to prepare its gym.

To help ensure continuity and accessibility of care for wound patients in the home and community, a consortium of leading Canadian organizations has come together to launch Telewound Care Canada, a virtual care initiative designed to help patients connect with their care teams while reducing unnecessary travel and in-person care. --> ow.ly/9lJV50DrBoq
