Do you want to create more positive energy in your life? Here are 5 ways to release some negative karma you may be holding onto! 1. APOLOGIZE TO THOSE YOU HAVE HURT. We may not always mean to, but sometimes we can say hurtful things to those we truly care about. People have complex emotions and differing opinions, and these dynamics can lead to misunderstandings and arguments from time to time. Dont beat yourself up because you have hurt someone, but certainly reach out to t...hem and apologize so that you and they can move on. It might mean going your separate ways, but at least there wont be any bad energy left between you. 2. GIVE LOVE TO EVERYONE. One way to reverse bad karma is simply to love everyone, even if they cant love you back. While it might hurt to do this at first, loving people will give you good karma. It will also enable you to help those who might need some extra care, so its a win-win situation. Loving your enemies isnt easy, but it gives you a clear conscience and frees up your mental energy for other things. Think about how different the world would look if we all simply loved one another without limitations or conditions. 3. HAVE PATIENCE. In our culture of instant gratification, many of us lack patience with ourselves and others. By learning patience, we can reverse bad karma and start deepening our human experience. So, when people talk, truly listen to them instead of just waiting to respond, and dont expect to have everything handed to you on a silver platter. If you work hard, maintain a positive attitude, and go about life in a calm manner, this will help instill good karma. 4. TAKE THE LESSONS FROM ALL YOUR EXPERIENCES. Even through the bad experiences, we can learn valuable lessons and become more humble because of them. Not all the experiences we have will turn out positively, but life doesnt always give us what we want; it gives us what we need. Remember this the next time you go through hardships, because staying thankful no matter your circumstances will reverse bad karma. 5. THINK POSITIVELY. Our thoughts become the foundation for what we build in our lives. If you think positive thoughts, you will live a happier life and have a freer mind as a result. Allowing negative thoughts to take over will only bring more negativity into your life, as the law of attraction and karma both state. To reverse bad karma, utilize positive thinking to center you and block out bad vibes. Doing so will give you a more fruitful, fulfilling life! Are you planning to take advantage of todays Boxing Day sales either at a mall or online? Our Founder, Dr. Paul Kelly, suggests these tips on how to stay mindful in the recent The Globe and Mail article "Give Yourself the Gift of Serenity" For people who go out to shop: -Make a list of what you really need before you go. -Cut the list in half.... -If you see others caught up in a feeding frenzy of bargains, smile, and let them go on their way. For people who stay at home, but shop online: -Remember it is too easy to spend digital money. -Set a budget and stick to it. -When you shop, put things into the shopping cart, but do not buy immediately. -Wait 20 minutes. Walk away from the screen. Reconnect with your current surroundings. Have a cup of tea. -Unhook your mind from the screen so you are not caught up in impulsive purchasing. -Ask yourself if you really needed or will really use it. For people who stay home to cocoon: -Give yourself permission to get off the treadmill of getting and spending. -Make a list of the important people in your life. Think of one reason you are grateful to know each of them. -Send each a short text to let them know that you are grateful for their friendship. -Remember that a sincere gift from the heart is food for the soul.

Are you feeling down and looking to make a change in your thoughts? Daniel Goleman explains how using mindfulness, specifically Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, can give you the tools to recognize and talk back to negative thoughts. Instead of getting sucked into our emotions or our thoughts, which is what happens when were depressed or anxious, we see them as those thoughts again, or those feelings again, and that disempowers them.... What does mindfulness mean to you? Did you know we all have the natural capacity to develop and practice mindfulness every day? Here are some tips BBC News has shared on how to quiet your mind:... 1. Notice the everyday - engage your senses, for example to think about the food you eat and the feeling of the air moving past as you walk. 2. Choose a regular time for your practice, for example during your morning commute or on a lunchtime walk. 3. Try seeing things from a different perspective. This can be as simple as choosing a different seat at school, college or in a work meeting, or going somewhere new for lunch. 4. Watch your thoughts - see them as "mental events" and let them come and go in your mind, like buses. 5. Name your thoughts and feelings to get more awareness, for example recognizing "this is anxiety". 6. As well as practicing in day-to-day life, you can set aside time for mindfulness meditation, yoga or tai-chi. Article source: https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-45815679 Photo: vibeshifting.com

If meditation seems too difficult to do, try taking the first step. Be aware of your breath. Take some time today to take a moment, and count the breaths in and out of your body. Count them up to 10, and start over. Even our most happiest moments seem to slip away so quickly. This is a great way to slow down time, and enjoy the moment in its entirety. In our last post we talked about the importance of dreaming to achieve your goals. Sometimes though, your brain has other ideas and you begin to doubt yourself. How can you turn it around? There are a few techniques that Jack Canfield, writer of Success Principles, suggests. ... Here are three of them: - Visualize with a mental rehearsal: Before some athletes play a game, theyve envisioned every play and every goal. Before you start your day take a moment and envision yourself achieving your goals. - Goal Pictures: Whether its an image, a vision board or a poster - hang something on the wall near where you work to remind you of your goal. Create an affirmation you can tell yourself every time you look at it. - Index Cards: Just like when you were studying for a test in high school, flash cards are a great way to memorize your goals and get them to make a place in your subconscious. Break up your goals into index cards, keep them by your bedside and go through them every night before you go to sleep. Have you ever tried one of these visualization techniques? Tell us below!
