5 octobre 2015: Hockey Glacier et le comité d'organisation du Festival de hockey plein air de Montréal sont attristés d'annoncer la fin de l'événement. Après cinq (5) années incroyables, les défis de gestion de l'événement annuel sur une base de temps partiel ne sont plus viables pour nous. Hockey Glacier tient à remercier l'arrondissement de Lachine, tous ses employés et ses citoyens, pour leur incroyable soutien dès le premier jour. Nous désirons signaler notre gratitude si...ncère et indéfectible à tous les joueurs, les commanditaires et les bénévoles qui se sont joints à nous pour faire de cet événement le plus grand festival de hockey plein air à Montréal, ville de hockey. Nous remercions particulièrement notre commanditaire en titre Desjardins, et les autres commanditaires qui ont été avec nous depuis le début: Ye Olde Orchard Pub, TSN 690, Molson, Kubota et Pazazz. Bien que notre implication en tant que promoteur et organisateur du Festival de hockey plein air de Montréal se conclut, force est d’admettre que l'événement annuel a vu une croissance marquée depuis ses débuts et pourrait représenter un projet attrayant pour une autre organisation. Toute personne ou organisation intéressée par l'acquisition et le développement de cet événement devrait nous contacter immédiatement par email à [email protected]. En terminant, nous aimerions prendre cette opportunité pour vous inviter à communiquer avec le bureau du maire Coderre pour montrer votre soutien à l'ouverture proposée du canal de Lachine comme un site de loisirs hivernal. October 5th, 2015: Hockey Glacier and the organizing committee for the Montreal Pond Hockey Festival are saddened to announce the closure of the event. After five (5) amazing years, the challenges of managing the annual event on a part time basis have become unsustainable for us. Hockey Glacier would like to thank the Borough of Lachine and all its employees and citizens for their incredible support from day one. And our unending gratitude also goes out to all the players, sp...onsors and volunteers who joined with us in making the event the largest pond hockey festival in Montréal, the birthplace of hockey. Special Thanks to our Title Sponsor Desjardins, and other sponsors that have been with us since the beginning: Ye Olde Orchard Pub, TSN 690, Molson, Kubota and Pazazz. Though our time as promoter and organizer of the Montreal Pond Hockey Festival has come to an end, we at Hockey Glacier recognize that the annual event has grown and expanded every year and may be an attractive project for another organization or individual.
