We have missed having the children of The Mount Playtime Daycare pop in to visit. Today, with some planning and careful distancing, they stopped by to sing some Christmas carols! They were able to distance by staying just inside our main entrance, with the seniors staying on the upper level. Their singing was enjoyed by many of our residents!

The Mount Continuing Care Community is currently seeking a Resident Companion for 8 weeks who can work as a team member to provide exceptional service to our residents. Under the supervision of the Recreation Coordinator, you will provide our residents by providing comfort and support to residents via companionship such as playing cards, reading the newspaper together, art, and other duties as required. Other duties include, but not limited to:... -Assisting residents with using mobile communication devices such as smartphones, tablets -portering residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, and dining room as required -Assisting with meals and feeding as directed by the RN/LPN -Filling and replacing PPE carts -Empties garbage, as required -Assisting residents with hearing or vision challenges -Completes enhanced cleaning/disinfecting of high touch surfaces throughout the building -Screens staff and visitors as per outbreak/pandemic procedure -Monitors front entrance and receives deliveries as required Please apply by submitting your resume to [Email hidden] Thank you to all applicants. Under the supervision of the Recreation Coordinator, you will assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating therapeutic recreation programs to meet the physical, social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and cultural needs and interests of residents. The successful candidate will help participate in the c...reation, organization, and implementation of all activity programs, the set up of equipment for the activity programs, assists and ambulates residents to and from activities, help with communicating and promoting the daily activities as well as upcoming programs and events through announcements, calendars, posters.
