We spotted a rare animal at the clinic today, an endurance athlete lifting weights! Not only that but check out how @yannickbanvillermt uses a band around his knees to help his stabiliers of the legs (glutes et al.) learn to properly control the knees while squatting. His last set he removed the band so his body could adapt and control the weight its self after learning from the band. When the hips control the knees appropriately you have a decreased chance of knee injury a...nd your legs have a greater chance to perform at their best. . . . . #squat #peachemoji #hips #weightlifting #knees #ottawacyclist #ottawarmt #intheglebe See more

Our nervous system and health can be understood by the state of our spine. Our spine works closely with the spinal cord. When there is dysfunction in the spine, it can irritate the nervous system and add pressure throughout your system. Sometimes this can lead to tangible aches, pains and dysfunction in the body, but more than not, it leads to increased injury and pain that cause a host of issues over time if left uncorrected. Checking in regularly with your nervous system, living a healthy and active lifestyle, treat your injuries with a professional and following a proper treatment plan between appointments to optimize your recovery are the best ways to stay healthy!
