This morning was the Community Health Education Program (CHEP) webinar for Moving well during the Covid-19 pandemic. A couple of photos of our members who participated from the Wellness Centre in Huntingdon.

Another great webinar from Seniors Action Quebec (SAQ). Everything you wanted to know about cannabis but were afraid to ask! Here are a few facts from today's presentation: Consuming (not just smoking) cannabis in public places is illegal (parks, playgrounds, sports fields, in front of restaurants or stores, etc) Quebec has a zero-tolerance policy for impaired driving. Even if you are BELOW the legal limit, you can still be charged with impaired driving, if you are... judged to be impaired. Using cannabis products that contain only CBD (not THC) will NOT get you high. The most common reasons for using medical marijuana and products are: o Anxiety o Chronic pain o Insomnia ...and now you know!

Our senior's day apple picking outing was cancelled last week because of the increase in COVID cases, but we won't let that get us down. We had some lovely gift bags filled with goodies that we were going to raffle off to participants, but instead we opened it up to all our current members. The names drawn were Josie Delzingara and George Bujold. Congratulations to our lucky winners!

MWCN, as an essential service community organization, would like to advise you that our offices remain open in all 3 of our locations.
